Good for a starter phone

Overall Rating:

Experience: 8 Months
Pros: Durable, unique design, easy to use

Cons: basic, no bluetooth, no camera, short battery life, hinge is a little loose

Summary: This phone is a good phone, but don't expect the whole fancy features you would find on other phones. If you want a phone to talk and text, this is the perfect phone for you, but get a higher up phone if you want to do pics and multimedia and bluetooth. Also, the battery life is very short, so dont talk very long. I get about 1.5 to 2 hours talk time before i'm in the red, so not for the avid talker.

Back to basics phone with sleek styling

Pros: Cool external display (looks like a PEBL), tactile soft-feel exterior, decent standby/idle battery life

Cons: No bluetooth (who wants a Star Trek headset anyway?), no camera, not enough accessories available (yet).

Summary: Switched from Nextel (Motorola i580) to this very basic Motorola W315 (Alltel). Although I do miss the tank-like, feature-packed i580, I wasn't using the technology as much as I thought I would, so I got the W315 and switched to a less-expensive carrier. I love the fact that it resembles the Motorola PEBL (except for the external antenna and the lack of any techie stuff). It has a very tactile feel to it, and you can have the external display show the time vertically or horizontally. The buttons on the phone are easy to read and not too close together. The speakerphone is very loud, and the earpiece is as well. Battery life is good.
