I believe Nokia cannot make a good flip phone

By: Saurabh Varn on Thursday, November 08, 2007
From Des Plaines (United States)
Experience: 11 Months
Pros: None

Cons: Dim LCD, bad reception, defective flip

Summary: I had this Nokia 6103b phone for less than a year, suddenly the flip started making a clicking noise. I called up my provider T-Mobile and explained them and they told me that this phone is under warranty and we will send you the replacement but if this is due to out of warranty reasons you have to pay 100 dollars. I asked T-mobile to evaluate this before replacement but they denied that. Then I called up Nokia and they asked me to send the phone to repair center. I sent the phone and after 15 days I got the following,

“Your Nokia 6103b device, serial number ****************, has been returned to you unrepaired. Generally devices are returned unrepaired for one of the following
reasons: the estimated repair cost was not authorized, we received no response to the repair quote estimate, the device was not made by Nokia or we do not have repair capabilities for that model since it was not distributed by Nokia in this country.”

I called up customer service and repair center but they were not able to give me exact reason why they returned the phone unrepaired. At least they should give me the reason why they were not able to repair. This phone never had any physical or liquid damage, flip noise started happening by itself due to the manufacturing defects.

I BELIEVE NOKIA CAN NOT MAKE A GOOD FLIP PHONE

I do not recommend any Nokia product to anyone as their customer service is bad and their products are too cheap. I have another Nokia phone that I am using right now is also not working properly; two of its buttons are not working.
