Pros: TOUCHSCREEN, CAMERA, PRICE, SPEAKER PHONE, WEB ACCESS, MY FAVE SERVICE, ONLINE SERVICES-BILL/MY FAVE CHANGES Cons: GETTING USE TO "NO FLIP" DEVICE, NOT ENOUGH INFO REGARDING CAMERA/USB DOWNLOAD IN MANUAL-SPENT 2 HOURS ONLINE GETTING INFO. Summary: I ADORE THIS PHONE! PRICE - GET A DEAL WITH TMOBILE! (LOTS OF PKGS TO CHOOSE FROM)-AS LOW AS .99 ! SDCARD, USB CABLE COMES WITH PKG! SLEEK, STYLISH, TOUCHSCREEN IS GREAT! 5MEGAPIXELS! BEST OF ALL (FOR ME) TAKING PICTURES W/PHONE AND USING IDEAS FOR OIL PAINTINGS/MURALS. EASY AS PIE!GREAT FOR LOTS OF LAUGHS WHEREVER YOU ARE................ 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful Pros: *sexy design [i have the light rose color] *touch screen is really responsive *awesome camera/picture/video quality *ringtones/music/audio sounds awesome Cons: *only two things i can think of to KINDA complain about... 1) the camera takes a few seconds to actually snap and take the picture 2) when the phone is on lock and is on the screensaver mode, u cant change that pic., so ur stuck lookin at flowers or designs. lol Summary: i love my new phone, ive never had a hi-tech phone that had all these awesome qualities to it. i LOVE txting with this phone, the touch key board is amazing. Pros: great touchscreen, solid design very easy to use interface, nice camera, and a metal back cover, etc Cons: wished there was more features, no wifi Summary: i picked up this phone after a contract renewal. big upgrade from the w490. the phone is really to use and learn. the design is solid and classy, does not feel cheap at all, and the battery cover lock is a one of a kind feature. The phone sometimes lags, and the browser is a bit baggy. also, the screen is hard to see in the sun texting on the onscreen keyboard is pretty smooth, save a button location. the bast part is it does not require a data plan like the g1, this phone is not a smartphone, but a regular phone on steroids, overall, great product 1 out of 2 people found this review helpful Pros: Its a touch screen, and its awesome.. Cons: The only problem I've been having is when I'm on the phone and want to send a txt.. And changing the screen savers on the lock screen. Summary: I love this phone. Its so awesome and its about time t-mobile got something worth while. lol. But not only that the texting is pretty easy. U can tilt the phone side ways so that the display screen turns sidewyas, and if you do while your texting you get a full qwerty board. The touch screen is pretty responsible and i'm pretty sure you can hold between 100-200 messages. depending on how much room is available on your phone and memory card. But in all if you have some questions you can ask. :) ITs awesome and worth the money!! 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful Pros: I personally like the Haptic feedback. Build Quality. Internet. 3G Programmability. Easy to use. Cons: None so far. I have a 10 megapixel Camera, and that takes slow pics. That's why the Camera is slow, cause it's powerful. Summary: I have to say. I jumped into the hot water to get this phone. I wasn't sure what I was getting into. I previously owned a BlackBerry Curve, which was becoming a complete pain in the a$$! The Curve is Flimsier than a BB Pearl, about the only thing on a Curve better; hardware wise, was the battery cover (Still a pain in the ass to remove). Wi Fi caused my calls to drop often, E Mail sucked, and most importantly is that the software upgrades are poorly tested for QC, so they brick your phone. One of the first things I noticed when I got this phone, was how well built it was. The battery door is solid, doesn't feel weak, like on my previous BlackBerry phones. The SIM card slot and Flash card slot, are also better. I don't hot swap so its not an issue. On a BB these are cheaply made, and the SD card slot actually broke on one of mine easily. The internet on this phone is faster than EVEN WiFi! Seriously! I like that it was easy to get to the things I needed. Instead of navigating through a lot of menus to get where I need to go. I go to my yahoo e mail through the internet. and thats fine. It's fast, and it gets the job done. The music is LOUD! I own a Record Company, and I need a decent media player to show my music to people. Look if you learn a lil patience, and how to program a lil bit, you can do a lot with this phone. BTW I dropped my phone, and it was fine, just a couple scratches on the camera. I freaked out at first; but it's made mostly of metal, so it was good. Look. BlackBerries, are nice; but after a while you will get endless amounts of E Mails, your calls will drop often while connected to Wi Fi. The sides would push in when I held my Curve one handed, and I'm talking about the housing, and not any buttons. I was afraid to drop my BB Curve. seriously This is a review from a former BlackBerry "Power User" I'm just trying to help other people out before they jump, and get a BlackBerry over this phone. So far...I LOVE IT! Mine is the Espresso one BTW 6 out of 7 people found this review helpful Pros: transfer music, light sleek sexy design, pretty much everything about it I looooove this phone!!! Cons: they should consider selling it with a stylus because sometimes I do mistype words, the camera can be slow dont move until your sure the picture has been taken, and some internet pics can be grainy but others are ok so I dunno whats up with that... Summary: Ok first off I have no problems with this phone telenav, internet, ect and I live in the Middle of Absolute Nowhere, Missouri. I looked up all the resturaunts in my town as well as directions with next to instant loading time so I really have no clue why ppl are saying this feature is crap. I do agree that the phonebook gets annoying bc you cant type a letter you have to sit there and scroll forever(big prob if you have alot of contacts)and sometimes i do mistype but that was only in the beginning but other than that I cant seem to take my hands off this sexy piece of machinery It just feels so good in your hand lol. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful Pros: Touch screen works well, widgets are a little silly but easy to deal with Cons: phone book is a total pain, and messaging is weak. Summary: Ok, for a basic mobile phone this is not bad, sound quality is good and the features are cool, if not perfectly functional. BUT.. there are some basic things that I don't understand about this design which are causing me serious problems. 1) the search feature in the phone book is a pain. You should be able to type the letter somewhere to see the entries instead of dragging the slider. Maybe I'll get used to it if I don''t return it. and 2) Unless I'm mistaken, you can;t see the threads on the text messages. Only the most current mesage is displayed. Hello? can you say lame? I mean it's 2009 already, is it that difficult? 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful Pros: good looking, brilliant display, touchscreen Cons: camera and video capture is a bit slow Summary: Ive had it for about a week and ive had no problems with it. the video playback is amazing and the same goes for the picture quality. 3 out of 4 people found this review helpful Pros: -It has a nice, clear display -It doesn't feel like it's going to drop out of my hand -The pictures this phone takes are pretty awesome -The Internet works well -Texting is a breeze -The touch-screen is responsive Cons: -Some of the pictures I took were grainy -The spacebar on the landscape QWERTY keyboard isn't exactly in the center -You cannot change the loud clicking sounds of the side buttons Summary: I think this phone is fairly awesome. I've been looking at some of the reviews out there who are hating on this phone. If you're a tech-savvy type of person who want a perfect phone, you might not choose this one. Even though it isn't for all the fun-lovers out there, it's still a great phone for the average phone. Who cares if there's no Wi-Fi. I don't even use it. People are getting really lazy these days, and using their internet on the phone. We have computers for that. Next thing you know, you'll be cooking from your cellphone. The phone is more of a media phone, and suits my every needs. The battery life is good. I've only had to charge it two times in the past six days. I found the touch-screen to be truly responsive, which worked well. Texting was also no problem on this phone. The internet was a bit hazy at times, but otherwise, it worked so suit my needs. Overall, I think this phone is awesome, and it's a great phone for the average person. 5 out of 5 people found this review helpful Summary: honestly.. this is such a dumb phone. i returned it and got the Dare. it is SO much better. the dare is simply perfect and beats all the phones out there. anyone with this phone should feel...not so smart for buying it. 2 out of 30 people found this review helpful Pros: beautiful color display, exceptionally loud volume, cool applications, great camera Cons: no telenav, limited ringtone capabilities, glitchy internet, slow video recorder Summary: I played around with both the Behold and the G1 at the store and ended up choosing the Behold because it actually managed to log onto the web fairly quickly. The G1 never did. I couldnt compare the video quality to the G1 but the Behold played a video that I randomly searched for on Youtube. Best of all, the volume was LOUD and extremely crisp. The picture was pretty pixelated though. Strange thing about it is, certain videos made the phone go crazy and reboot. I could not manage to pull up the Telenav most of the time and later learned online that it requires a separate monthly subscription to the service. However, I believe tmobile provides a 14 day trial. Not having Telenav was not a big deal since you can just go on Google Maps. I also tried using some of my transfered music as a ringtone but the phone only gives you the option of using it as a ringtone for callers. You are basically limited to the preloaded ones unless you purchase them online. The battery is pretty spot on but does go down quick depending on how much you use it to go on the internet and such. The screen backlight needs to be adjusted as it does hurt your eyes after a while. Texting needs getting used to and needs configurating if you have big fingers. Its fairly easy to text and mistakes arent as frequent as I thought it would be. The G1 is definately more text friendly but in terms of fun and looks, I'd give it to the Behold. 4 out of 5 people found this review helpful Pros: Sleek, nice feel, attractive display, nice touchscreen Cons: GPS did not work; Web browser clunky Summary: I bought this phone for the Telenav GPS function. The phone salesman & I tried it in the store, and it could not find a signal. Thinking it might have something to do with being indoors, I bought it anyway. The whole way home, it was unable to find a signal (I live in a small city just outside of Boston). It would just slowly load the directions, and, after about 5 minutes, give a weak GPS signal message or say the connection to the server was lost. The Telenav people walked me through trouble shooting for 2 hours, but finally told me that the GPS was not working and I should return the phone. Back at the T-mobile store, they checked and confirmed that my data plan was active. They tried using another unit and got the same result. They also called an offsite tech worker to try it at her location, and it didn't work there, either- same thing happened. After I returned the phone, I walked over to the Verizon Kiosk, and the GPS navigator on their phones came right up. I assume this is some sort of early days glitch, but check this feature before you leave the store. It was a shame- I otherwise really liked the phone, and T-mobile has nothing else like it at this time. 9 out of 10 people found this review helpful Pros: Attractive design with beautiful screen resolution; Solid build; Good call quality (phone/headset/speaker); Responsive touchscreen; Easy menu navigation Cons: Proprietary charger/headphone jack; 5MP camera doesn't seem much better than my previous 1.2MP; Weak camera flash Summary: I am a big fan of Samsung phones, and the Behold did not disappoint when it came to appearance and ease of use. With the influx of all these "smartphones", I guess I am one of the few who just wants a phone to be a phone! I don't need my phone to play music or search the web, though they are nice features to have for backup purposes. I have other devices for these things, and I don't like all my gadgets in one place because I don't want to be totally without if that one universal gadget is lost, stolen or broken. Also, I don't really want to search the net on a 3" or even 4" screen and certainly don't want to pay an additional $25-$35 a month for a data plan to do so - it's just not that serious. In the end, I didn't WANT a smartphone, so the "cons" of no Wi-Fi and no hot swapping were not cons for me. With this phone, I'm able to have the basic features I want with the latest touch-screen technology in a phone that turns heads. For what I want the phone for (talking and light texting), I can do very well with the Behold, and I can do it in style! On a few calls, I did notice that I could hear my voice echoing, but it was rare. The menus are very easy to navigate, and I was able to use the phone right out of the box (though I do plan to read the manual to find any features that I may have missed). I listed the proprietary jack as a con, not because I want to use standard headphones or two peripherals at once, but because all of my previous phones are Samsungs, and I think it's sad that I can't use any of their chargers or accessories with this phone. I feel like changing the jack design every year is a way for them to make money from people purchasing new accessories, and that just irritates me to no end! Aside from that, my Behold is a joy to use. As we all know by now, the price with 2 year contract and rebates is $149, but if you know you're a gadget hound who will be wanting a new phone next year, I recommend that you only get a 1 year contract extension. It's only $50 more, but that beats having to wait 2 years before you can get a new discounted phone, or paying full price for the new hotness that you KNOW is gonna come out in 2009. ** yeah, I copied this from my posting on another site. I didn't feel like typing it all over again. ** 14 out of 15 people found this review helpful Pros: Menus & windows are very easy to navigate through. Very Bright display & clear reception with plenty of volume. Cons: None yet...I only gave it a very good on Battery life because I don't know yet. Used it for 5 hrs & lost only 1 bar. Summary: I've only had this phone one day but Very Impressed so far. Small, light & thin w/ rounded corners makes it easy to pocket. Clear Bright display. Nice positive tough screen engagement. 30 out of 33 people found this review helpful
