Pros: everything seems good in the beginning but it turns crappy after a month or 2
I reallyyy like the rubiks cube wallpaper
and the shooting star wallpaper :D

Cons: everything after a while

keys start breaking
touch screen is demented
battery gets wicked short
home button starts to not work
keys stick
just turns off for no reason when batterys full

Summary: okay the glyde is the WORST phone ever!!! Worse than flip phone or just plain old phones that are like walk-e-talkees!!!At first this phone seems great the touch screen is working the keyboard is so great and the cool wallpapers and stuff. well after a few months (like 2) the phone starts breaking! The screen goes white at any random moment and you hav to turn it off and then back on!It blacks out and then it wont turn off so you hav to rip out the battery and then turn it on again.the touch screen gets really messed up if you touch something on the top of the screen it says you touched something at the bottom of the screen! i hav had my phone replaced once and after the replacement that same day it did all of these things AGAIN! im returning this phone and getting the env touch DONT GET THIS PHONE !!!! NO MATTER HOW MANY GOOD REVIEWS THERE ARE!!!

Pros: great style. nice qwerty keyboard. Great internet browser. small and easy to carry around.

Cons: bad touch screen. not the best battery life. screen gets lose a little after little use.

Summary: I use my samsung glyde a lot and i have to say its a good cheap touch screen cell phone now $79. The samsung glyde is a great phone for someone who's never used touch screen cell phone.

Pros: QWERTY

Cons: speakers only on top

Summary: i had the old version of the glyde and i almost chucked it out a window. i went and got it exchanged for a new version. everything is the same but the touch screen. the old screen uses electricty from your fingers so if it gets dirty you are doomed. samsung revamoed it and put in a pressure sensitive screen and a calibriation screen so now it works much better. also the old one could only be used by your finger but the new version can use a stylus, a pluss in my book seeing as i have large hands.

wish touch screen was better

Overall Rating:

Pros: keyboard is great, messaging is good.

Cons: TOUCH SCREEN

Summary: I like this phone but i can't deal with all of the problems with the touch screen. I can't count all of the times i've wanted to throw this phone against the wall. sometimes i want to send a text message but i have to wait 10 minutes for the touch screen to become responsive. If this phone had a better touch screen i would love it but i am going to get a different phone.

Take it Back ASAP!!

Overall Rating:
2.3 out of 5

Pros: Getting the phone in July thought it was quite attractive and cutting edge being one of the first touch-screen phones. Easy to hear people once called, great service anywhere you go(especially in NYC), small compact design made it easy to carry. I was worried about scratching the touch-screen so I bought a screen protector skin and a snap on plastic case - made the phone a but bulkier but the phone was well protected - kept the screen from scratching.

Cons: The touch screen is a disaster! I bought the original phone in July... took it back 3 times because the touch screen would stick, meaning I couldnt push anything. I would be trying to send a text message, hitting send numerous times with the keypad open, slide it shut, couldnt send it there, open it back up, finally could send it! Too much thinking and effort into sending a simple txt. The touch screen would also light up on its own and push buttons/change screens by itself.

Summary: The phone is sexy and could be worth the money if all the "bugs" were worked out. As said, I bought the phone in July and almost immediately the problems began. I love the QWERTY keyboard because I txt more than I talk. However, it's difficult having a phone you cant manipulate because the touch screen is having so many issues. My advice, after having 3 different Glyde phones, all with brand new software installed, DONT GET IT. It will definitely cause more frustration than necessary.
(PS- when I brought the phone back yesterday to the store a gentleman who worked there asked me which phone I was having problems with, said the Glyde, and he grumbled something and told me to ask for a different brand new phone - got it, without any hassle... apparently people at VZW arent happy with the product either.)

Iffy type of phone

Overall Rating:
2.8 out of 5

Pros: Qwerty keyboard wich makes txting faster, light weight; perfect size not too big, not too small. Nice features n screen layout. And the camera has flash =]

Cons: The touch screen might sometimes tick you off, it will sometimes go somewhere where you dont want it to go.

Summary: Overall this phone isnt really all that bad whats iffy about it is the touch screen. It sometimes tends to go to other places rather than it going where you want it too it could also be a little slow sometimes. The kool things about it is that it has a qwerty keyboard n if you're a texter lyke me you'll lyke the keyboard, tha camera also has flash which is koo. So yea not the best phone out there but its good

Not what I expected

Overall Rating:
2.8 out of 5

From: High Point, NC (United States)
Experience: 3 Weeks
Pros: Great browser, neat menu system, many customizable options, keypad worked great and was easy to use, compact size

Cons: The touch screen was very difficult to use especially in mobile IM, the web browser, and the edges of the screen were hardly ever responsive. Also, because the glyde senses the electricity from your finger, after about a days use, oil from your finger collects on the screen and the electricity travels through the oil on the screen and selects the wrong thing. This wasnt too big of a problem, i just had to wipe the screen off every day. The lock does not lock the screen very well. Every now and t

Summary: The touch screen can very very frustrating. Even though it has a very nice web browser, its slow and hard to select links. Overall, I would not recommend this phone.

A great fun filled toy :)

Pros: not your normal verizon UI!!! the form factor of the phone. lightweight and not a big as you might think.. cool looks with the touchscreen. a high tech phone for anyones budget :)

Cons: Again not as big as you might think.. so this makes the touchscreen hard to use sometimes :/
Verizon crippled this phone with all of its restrictions. such as the bluetooth transfers and etc.
Gets to happy sometimes and will get ahead of itself
keyboard takes some time getting used to

Summary: This is by far one of the best phones i have ever owned. the only phone that can come close is the alias.. but the alias has nothing on this phone when you compare the features:The screen is bright and crisp. The keyboard is more roomy than you might think. The screen (has some quirks but not as bad as the voyager) is not iphonish but this isnt an iphone. This phone has a great screen for viewing txt, pix, and vids since you can use the whole screen unlike with your regular phones :)The web browser has great speed but the screen just doesnt let you fully take in all of that speed.

It's a great alternative to the voyager... after the firmware update you can get youtube videos as well :)

It doesn't offer mobile tv but with youtube you will not have time for mobile tv.

I love my glyde and you will too :)

Good phone

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5

Pros: touch screen, qwerty keyboard, html browser, vcast

Cons: touch screen unresponsive (rarely)

Summary: If you were like me trying to figure out if you should get the Glyde or the Voyager take my advice and get the Glyde. The glyde basically took the voyager and fixed all of its problems. The Glyde is also pocket-friendly, unlike the voyager. If your a heavy texter the keypad is great for fast messages.

Sent it Back!

Overall Rating:

Pros: Small, compact device. It has a nice shortcut menu on it. The camera is clear and with the flash makes it even better. Very easy to use.

Cons: The screen is not nearly big enough. It is very hard to click links on webpages. Sometimes I would be trying to touch a button and finally after a minute it would work. Sometimes I would touch an item at the top of the screen and it would select an item at the bottom of the screen. It is very difficult to touch items around the edges of the screen. If you take a picture with your camera and try to set it as a background it cuts out most of the picture. The service on this phone seems to be

Summary: Overall this is not a bad phone, but it has some major issues with the touch screen. If you live out in the middle of nowhere where there is poor reception I would not recommend this phone. The flash on the camera is a plus. Needless to say I sent the phone back and bought the Voyager! I'd recommend that if your willing to spend this much for a phone, spend an extra $100 and get the Voyager, you will be a lot more satisfied.
