Favorite Cell Phone To Date

Overall Rating:
4.2 out of 5
By: Brad Willett on Friday, April 17, 2009
From: Rancho Cucamonga, CA (United States)
Experience: 3 Weeks
Pros: The Camera and its photo shop applications, The unique and cool style, the loud speaker phone, MP3 player lets you use songs as ringtones, youtube on a phone, navigation, widgets on a phone.

Cons: To put music on the phone, at least for a mac, you need an micro sd card adapter for USB drives, the screen is hard to see in sun, for full HTML, you have to go through steps found on youtube, the T9 has an odd Vocabulary, battery only lasts 1-1.5 days on a charge

Summary: Before i had the Memoir, i had the Sidekick 2008. I also recommend that phone if you like to have a personalized device. However, the memoir has an amazing speakerphone, especially compared to the sidekick. I also love having youtube on a phone. and if you get lost easily like i do, the tele navigation is awesome. just buy a car charger if thats going to be used a lot.

I enjoy the easy interface that allows for a customizable home screen. I recommend this phone highly. Just 2 things, plastic hard case and a car charger. These two things will make you much happier with it.

Samsung Memoir T929

Overall Rating:
2.3 out of 5
By: John Gorman on Friday, March 13, 2009
From: Phoenix, AZ (United States)
Experience: 1 Months
Pros: Size, weight, touch screen

Cons: Battery didn't get me through the first day, screen is blank in sunlight, ringer weak, couldn't hear ringer when I put it in my pants pocket, volume of mp3 player very weak. Except for the lack of a touch screen, my 3 year old Nokia N73 blows this away.

Summary: I returned it, they need to upgrade to fix these problems, especially the battery life, before I would consider it again.
