Good Phone

Overall Rating:
4.2 out of 5
By: kelley none on Monday, December 10, 2007
From: voorhees, NJ (United States)
Experience: 1 Months
Pros: -Super thin
-Light
-Durable (been dropped a few times)
-Easy to open right away
-big screen
-good camera
-can view videos full screen
-videos can be as long as memory allows
-takes mirco sd cards
-Great sized keys
-cool number font effects
-bright colors
-different themes and menus to choose from.
-its loud when it rings
-great 50 dollar price with 2 year contract.
-cool camera color effects
-can set to say things out loud to you.
_______

Cons: Cons
-i don't use it for music, so sometimes the touch buttons on the outside beep in my pocket, but there is a lock key, but then you can view the time on the outside screen real quick without holding down lock key.
-when you zoom using the camera it makes a sound like weapons charging that is amazingly loud and the only way to turn it off that ive found is turning the sound off for the whole phone.
-when it vibrates its not as strong as it could be.

I like it!

Overall Rating:
4.2 out of 5
By: Duane Smith on Wednesday, November 14, 2007
From: oceanside, CA (United States)
Experience: 7 Days
Pros: Slim, Light, easy to use and screen is easy to see, stereo speakers

Cons: Audio quality a little "bassy" or deep. 1.3 mg pix camer, other models have a 2 mg pix

Summary: I have only had it a few days but it sems good. Not as flashy as others but nice. The other reviewer said the front case screen would not display the time. I thought that at first but read the manual and found you hold down the outside buttons for a few seconds and the outside display comes on. You can also play music from the front case. Reading the manual helped resolve any problems I had with the phone. Most phones have small screens and are hard to see sometimes. This phone is similar but the screen is contrasty and works for me. Most of the phones I looked at had similar functionality. We liked the next model up in the Samsoung line (same software but a 2 mg pix camera) but it had tiny keys. Overall this phone had more of what I wanted. My wife and I got these on a two for 1 deal. We are very happy. TIP Don't buy you accessories at Verizon. Walmart has a better deal on chargers etc.

This phone sucks

Overall Rating:
2 out of 5
By: kaleb Jackson on Friday, September 14, 2007
From: Providence, RI (United States)
Experience: 30 Days
Pros: I did like that you could switch the keypad sound to sound like a xylophone.

Cons: everything else.

Summary: I returned this phone. ( I never review things, but I hated this phone, and i read reviews, so I thought I should give something back.)

1. One can't just hit a button on the outside to look at the time, it won't light up the display which isn't even on, so you can't even see it in the light. You have to open it up every time just to look at the clock.

2. I set the keypad light to be "always on" while the phone is open, but as soon as it connects to voicemail, the light goes out, so in the dark you can't see the numbers to put in your password, or opperate the voicemail commands.

3. When the main screen light is set to be on for 30 15 or 7 seconds, it stays on for the right amount of time, but the display itself goes out, so you can't see what number youre talking to, how long you've been on, etc. On all my previous phones, the light goes out but you can still see the screen, just not as bright.

4. I couldnt get used to the buttons while text messaging or putting information in, they would either not type or type 2 of the character you want to type, because you have to hit the button hard, after tyyping a bunch of shit and looking at it and it's all screwed up, especially if youre typing in Word...

5. Teh "Word" function of text input wouldn't learn new words that i had sent and even had saved in messages. This sucked having to switch to "ABC" to enter names that you use all the time, every fcking time.

6. I did like that you could switch the keypad sound to sound like a xylophone.

7. I couldn't look at a text message on the outside screen when i received it, like i could with other phones.

8. There were about 10 other stupid little things that i didn't like/wasn't used to that sucked as well.

9. I went back to LG which I shouldn't have strayed from, and i have the VX 8700 now i think.

10. Also, the reception sucked alot of the time, where an LG (even old ones) would get better reception. and a lot of times you think you've lost the person on the line and you have to say "you still there?" like a jerk.
