Battery Problems

Overall Rating:
2.2 out of 5
By: William Kramer on Tuesday, June 17, 2008
From: Kailua, HI (United States)
Experience: 60 Days
Cons: We bought two SGH-A437 phones. After several weeks of full and proper charging, one had a talk time of about 45 minutes, the other about 90. While the batteries are under warranty, Sam Sung requires that I return the bad batteries before they will send new ones, a 7 day turn around. Meanwhile, I'm phoneless. Poor customer service with this policy!

Summary: Proper customer service would be provided if Sam Sung sent the new battery with the expectation that I would return the disfunctional battery on receipt.

A truly awful cell phone

Overall Rating:
2.2 out of 5
By: Rick Simpson on Sunday, May 25, 2008
From: Falls Church, VA (United States)
Experience: 3 Months
Pros: Thin, light. Descent camera. Attractive style.

Cons: Poor reception and transmission. Difficult to select the right buttons.

Summary: Feels like it is going to break in two because it's so thin. Not user friendly. Went back to my old phone, I hated this one so much! I'll never buy another Samsung product again!

Great Phone!

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5
By: Samantha Smith on Friday, May 23, 2008
From: NY, NY (United States)
Experience: 3 Years
Pros: big buttons,durable

Cons: key pad lock

Summary: I've had this Samsung for about 2 1/2 years now. This phone is very good for texting, taking pictures, and video. I have dropped this phone many times on concrete and even gotton it wet a few but it is still working perfectly. The key pad lock button is on the side which means if you turn the key lock on, and put it in your pocket, it unlocks the key pad by itself. Using the side buttons it can: go to your recent calls, call someone on that list, and put it on speaker phone. This has happened to me many times while the phone is in my pocket. Overall, this is a good phone.

Samsung T629

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: mabel williamson on Tuesday, April 15, 2008
From: union city , NJ (United States)
Experience: 1 Years
Pros: great phone for me

Cons: it does freeze up

Summary: I do agree it does freeze up but all u have to do is take out the battery wait 5 seconds and install back. It goes back to normal. That is the only complain i have and Yes you need a case for it because the screen does get scratched up. Just be good to your phone charge when not in use and it will be fine. My battery life is great it is always charge. With every cell phone you must go charge it when you get home even though it states otherwise. Be good to your phone.

Can't copy all to sim card

Overall Rating:
4.5 out of 5
By: Ryan Ryan on Friday, April 11, 2008
From: Madison, WI (United States)
Experience: 9 Months
Pros: Great phone, slim, big screen love it

Cons: You can't copy all your contacts to from the phone to the sim card.

Summary: Make sure you select save to sim for phone book memory so if it breaks you don't loose your contacts. If you have broken something like the screen or just got a new phone, there is a way that you can send your contacts via bluetooth. First you have to turn your bluetooth on if it isn't already. You can do this by hitting the top left soft key (the menu key) and then typing 9-6-1 then hitting top left soft key (select) this will turn bluetooth on or off. Then hit the end call button to go back to the wallpaper screen. From here press the down arrow button, then top left soft key (options)-1-top left soft key (options)-5-3-2-top left soft key(select) this seaches for bluetooth devices then you scroll down to the one you want, which may take some guess work if your screen is broke, and hit the top left soft key (select) and all of your contacts should transfer. I hope this takes the guess work out of it and saves a lot of time for some one.

Great Phone

Overall Rating:
4.8 out of 5
By: Max Ride on Friday, March 28, 2008
From: New York, NY (United States)
Experience: 3 Weeks
Pros: The phone is very sleek, thin and not too difficult to use. I would say that is if for music lovers because it can carry your iPod and you can make them into ringtones and such. Another safe feature is that once the screen dims, and eventually turns blank or goes to sleep, it locks the buttons, so that if it is being carried around and hits something in your purse or your pocket, nothing happens. The phone is very appealing to teenagers and preteens, (being one myself) but also to any music lov

Cons: To download songs from the computer, you must by a USB adapter(sold seperatley). If you like to talk on your cell for over three and 1/2 hours, you might have a problem because that's how long the battery holds up. if you enjoy texting, i would not get this phone because it does not have a key board. if you like the sliding feature, but also to text, I advise that you check out the Pantech Duo, it slides into a keyboard as well as to numbers. These are the only con.

Summary: Overall, this Samsung slider is a very good phone. the images and text are clear and it is camera is outstanding. it is similar to a Juke only because of the music feature(as i think the juke is too small) the style is very sleek and simple, as is the phone itself. I'd give it a two thumbs up as an owner of this phone

Samsung SGH-E840 is a blockbuster.

Overall Rating:
4.3 out of 5
By: A J on Sunday, March 23, 2008
From: Torrance, CA (United States)
Experience: 2 Days
Pros: - Phone Call Clarity
- Signal Strength
- Large Beautiful Color Screen
- Smooth Functioning Slider
- Compact and lightweight
- Very Cool Touch Screen Keys
- Tolerable Battery Life (2days)
- Picture and Video Display is Excellent
- Customizable Favorite Programs Menu
- Packed With Neat Features

Cons: - Only one theme provided (but that one theme is nice)
- No 3G (everyone is hung up on this so I’ll just write it anyway)
- Touch Keys are Hyper-Sensitive (but that’s why it’s called touch keys)
- Configuring the internet/mms for AT&T was a pain
- Overseas phones are not insurable by service providers
- Difficult to install applications and games (so I’ve read)

Summary: The Samsung SGH-E840 is a beautifully crafted intelligent phone that most should immediately fell in love with. The some of the neat features include: Document Viewer - FM Radio, Currency Converter, Calculator, Multiple Alarm Settings, Organizer, To-Do-List, Calendar, 70MB Internal Memory, Extended Memory MicroSD (up to 2GB), Bluetooth technology v 2.0, Quad band, EDGE/GPRS)

SGH-c416 Samsung

Overall Rating:
2.4 out of 5
By: Xene Carlson on Saturday, March 01, 2008
From: Kalamazoo, MI (United States)
Experience: 30 Days
Pros: Looks nice

Cons: 1. Bluetooth has been disabled, cannot connect to computer to transfer address book or photos. Bluetooth only works for headphone. Lack of connectivity a serious drawback.
2. Excruciatingly annoying ringtones that cannot be changed.

Summary: Works nicely as a phone only, if you can bear the unpleasant ringtone selection. No normally expected connectivity to computer or other devices (except to Samsung headsets.)
