Change your boring Verizon ringtones

Well i'm a Verizon Wireless person.. and i was always bored of the standard ringtones the phone comes with.  I seemed to always buy second hand used phones from craig's list, so i didn't have those cables to hook up to the computer and sync things into.  I wasn't allowed to buy ringtones either when i did get a new lg venus because then my parents will go ballistic on me, so i found a way to get it free.  All you need is:

  1. A cell phone with texting plan
  2. A memory card (micro sd, mini sd, whatever the phone uses)
  3. A usb card reader or sd adapter (you can find it cheap on ebay)
  4. Internet connection

Steps to get FREE ringtones...

  1. Take the micro sd out of the phone and stick it into the adapter or usb card reader
  2. Stick that into your laptop or computer.
  3. Go to www.mytinyphone.com
  4. Search for the ringtone you want.
  5. Download to computer.
  6. Click on save... where do you save it?  Go to computers... click on removable disk and then on my_sounds.
  7. After saving it put the sd back into your phone
  8. Go to Get it Now.
  9. Then music and tones
  10. My sounds
  11. Choose the song u want then go to options and send to yourself.. to your friends. :]and there you have it

I've seen some videos on youtube on how they get free ringtones.. they use the cable to sync.  Most of the time people don't get. one, so i found an easier way without having to download so many different programs on to the computer too.  Oh and i've sent ringtones to not only verizon users but also T-mobile Blackberry.  Ido this for free for my friends but if you'd like to charge your friends..that's all up to you

Here's a video i made with it...

Updates: BlackBerry Storm getting firmware updates

The horribly over-hyped, gimmicky, disappointing, bug-plagued BlackBerry Storm should soon be getting its first dose of badly-needed firmware fixes, according to Greg over at MobileCrunch, and a host of other Internet reports.  I still think the Storm would be best off slimming down and losing the silly click-screen mechanism altogether, but if you're digging the SurePress action and just waiting until the lags, crashes, and other kinks get...

Verizon's Last Straw! Noah Help

Alright, i think it is safe to say that the Blackberry storm was a giant let down...(i was planning on getting one, but right now, i dont think so) i have been patiently waiting for verizon to step up and release a phone that comes close to the iphone. i have been a big fan of the iphone ever since i watched steve jobs demonstrate the device on tv. since then, the iphone has been my measuring stick with other touch screen/smartphone devices. i...

Glyde or Dare for Verizon?

Hey PhoneDogs,Just want to  say I love the site, keep the videos coming, and keep rocking out PhoneDog TV Noah!! SO getting to my question I am stuck between the Samsung Glyde and the LG Dare. I have read all the reviews and watched all the videos and I like both phones but  have my concerns. To Noah: Cell Phone dilema

Hey Noah, I currently own the env2 and I really like it.  It's great for texting and the call quality is great.  I just recently got Visual Voicemail for it too which is pretty cool.  I was however in the VZW store the other day getting my phone's software upgraded so I could get VVM and I was playing around with some other phones.  I sorta fell in love with the Dare and now I really want one.  I got my env2 in May and...

Glyde or Dare for Verizon?

Hi phonedogs,I love the site, keep doing what your doing. I am a Verizon subscriber and I am torn between the Dare and Glyde. I've read almost everything about the phones and what it comes down to is usability. Glyde seems thicker than I would like and as far as I know the touch screen is still questionable. The Dare seems to have everything I want but I am a big texter and I question the the virtual qwerty board. I really want the Dare, its...

Visual Voicemail on LG EnV2

I didnt know this until a few days ago, but apparently since it's release, the env2 has had some software updates put out for it.  I took mine into the store and they updated my software to Version 06 (i previously had Version 03). *Once you have the Version 06 Software, you can download the Visual Voicemail application through Get It Now* Visual Voicemail is $3 a month, but if you don't mind paying just a little extra, it's totally worth...

Re: Leaving big red, where should I go?

With the iPhone it depends. The recent 2.2 update has worked like well it worked like a charm. Depending on what firmware your friends had (2.0, 2.1, or 2.2) calls can vary. What i've noticed is 2.0 was awful slow, buggy, icky i guess you could put it. 2.1 improved it a little and now 2.2 has new features and is just really nice. i see that this is a really old post but if you can tell me what firmware he had i can tell you where to go from...

    Mini-Review: Nokia Email Beta

Thanks to the folks at Nokia, I've got a re-loan of the E71 smartphone, one of my favorite releases of 2008.  A Symbian S60 device, the E71 has an Email client as part of its pre-loaded Messaging application, and while it can't handle HTML mail and isn't the prettiest thing to look at, it basically works just fine. However, Nokia just announced the live Beta of their new Nokia Email service for select devices - including the E71.  So I...

Two years later and ThinkGeeks bluetooth handset still uncontested

    Best bluetooth design ever?

I've searched far and wide over the last two years, but found no bluetooth device that can stand up to ThinkGeek's revolutionary design from '06. In the shadow of its sinewy curves and the glare of its glistening semi-reflective surface, all competitors appear painfully unimaginative and inadequate. Can this subtle beauty ever be matched... or dare I say, toppled? Undeniably, a classic. I'm also a fan of their BluAlert Bluetooth Bracelet. I...
