AT&T's loses request for injunction; releases anti-Verizon commercial

Magnet board + empty warehouse + Luke Wilson = effective commercial?  You be the judge.

Earlier today, AT&T's request for an immediate injunction on the Verizon "There's a Map for That" commercials was denied, though the judge referred to the ads as "sneaky."  Apparently, most people are so zoned out when they're watching TV that they may not notice that Verizon is targeting AT&T's 3G coverage (or so the judge thinks).

One thing is perfectly clear: this "war" is far from over.  Check out the commercial and sound off below!

The way I see it is if you going to get a cell phone make sure you know what company has good coverage when you live and visit.
Don't go getting the Iphone and live in the bay, you know you'll have issues from the start, you stupid if you don't check the coverage first.
Customer Service? That on the depends on the person helping you out and your attitude when you call. Also everyone is going to have their own different experiences with customer service, we are have good ones and bad ones.
I've had sprint since I've had a phone(6years) and I've had little issues, nothing I didn't get taken care of. The last 2 years though sprint has really improved with everything, plans service, and price.
There is no perfect phone compay, face it, live with it.
Last note, I like luke wilson, but seriously he hasn't done anything good since old school and the episode on entourage, I do have to say watching AT&T and verizon go at it is fun.

I live in the Boondocks and had AT&T for a couple years but dropped calls in some spots in the country, so I switched to Verizon and now I drop calls from the spots I didn't with AT&T, but at least I get signal where it dropped with AT&T. Point is you all will drop calls so get over yourself

I use to be an AT&T customer for well over two years, they got so many things wrong with their towers being down as an excuse for zero service in a six month period. I switched to verizon wireless and didn't even get a "special" phone and it beats web speeds on the Iphone 3g I had.

why r these companies still goin at it. Of course verizon's customers r gonna stick 2 vzw, and at&t's customers r gonna stick 2 at&t. vzw and at&t r both acting stupid about this whole thing. i'm not any sides but i no dat vzw started the fite and at&t has the rite 2 stand up and tell them off. vzw doin ''my company get more coverage'' commercials and at&t doin ''side-by-side comparisions'' commercials. This is just a big war that no1 will win-or-lose.

I say screw them all up the butt. It all depends on what you like and how the service is in your area.

Ayyyyyemen , Tomparker! they all have good and bad points. No need jumping ship to another carrier because you will end up with a different 'bucket of issues'

God, these companies are so STUPID! I really don't understand why they have to be shooting "I'm better than you" hate adds back and fourth! They are the two leading carriers in the United States, they don't exactly NEED to be doing this!

Not a realistic arguemtn...#1 and #2 always battle it out no matter what it is, telecom or otherwise. Always expect 1 and 2 to battle. There is a need when its a competetive marketplace. Neither one can afford to rest on their laurels. So let the mudslinging continue, however. This has been an one sided battle. ATT has yet to deal specifically with verizon's claim of 3g coverage. They keep lumping their voice coverage into their argument, thus taking an orange and using that to battle verizon's apple.

Would only be good if the dog fight takes place in a spot where both providers have good coverage.

I don't think that one network can be totally better than the other. some networks are better than others in a certain area, and be totally non-existant in another. it really depends on the location. In my area, AT&T works much better than verizon, but 20 minutes up the road, Verizon is better. It really just depends. And with At&t and Verizon bashing each other all the time isn't helping people understand either.

Apardoe870-i respectfully mention that the verizon ads are about specifically 3g data coverage. As far as voice coverage is concerned, it's basically a tie between V and att, but for specifically 3g data its no contest. I again point you and and anyone else to the lack of a coverage map for 3g data on atnt's website. then compare that to the map for 3g data on verizon's website. I use neither carrier but i think its going to be interesting to see if att can weasel their way out of this one. Voice they're great. Edge data, they're great. 3g however, not so great.....
