Dogfight! Pre v iPhone: Design, Hardware, Voice & Data

does anyone know, if the wifi on pre work without data. I tired HTC CDMA phone and it use to use data when ever I am using my wifi.......and that use to screw me up every months. I am using blackberry and what I like about blackberry is that I can shut down my data when I want. I am not sure if that is possible in pre? So if any one know then let me know?

all of this argument is kinda pointless though, if you're on sprint, and you want a good phone, than get the pre, if you're on att and you want a good phone, than maybe get the iphone? but, if you're unsigned, get the pre ;) it's faster, newer, and sexier (:

I appreciate all the first-class reviews you do, Noah. The Palm Pre is very impressive, but I love my Apple iPhone 3G and the excellent service and support I get from AT&T in Tampa, Fla. When I upgrade, it will be to an Apple iPhone 3G S -- from AT&T.

Damn you have no bias? how much did sprint and palm pay u to talk up the Pre and make the iPhone look so inferrior. Love the website, but the dog fight was no contest. Sorry go iPhone!

I have to say that Palm's WebOS looks a lot better than the iPhone OS. But I'm going for 32GB of multimedia on the iPhone 3G S. Battery and memory are still the most important features on any device. And I don't think Palm is going to update your OS every? year. I'm from the Netherlands and we're getting the iPhone 3G S on the 26th of June. And I think that by the time the Palm Pre is here, I'm already waiting for the next iPhone to rule the world.

I will get the pre ( contract upgrade) I wanted the iphone and have for sometime but when I think of the monthly cost for a iphone, I will get more for my money with sprint.

How do you get a phone thats not on your carrier??? People can't decide if they want the iPhone or the Pre. They are on different carriers. I don't get that.

I'm sorry to say apple fan boys that the Palm Pre is better and faster than the iPhone!
