I would think the card system would put tons of pull on the battery life, but still I like what Palm has done with the Pre. I am huge iPhone user and love the phone, but when items like the Pre come out it makes Apple step up their game and I benefit from that. Still the Pre looks nice.

Great review, and remarkably helpful. One suggestion, though, is to take into account the Classic emulator (www.motionapps.com/classic/), which sounds like it should do a bit to remedy the lack of apps available at launch for the Pre. I haven't tried it yet, but will upon purchase, as I'm eager to have my favorite old Palm apps at my disposal after getting a Pre.

The funny thing is there's no EQ for the music app. What is Palm thinking? Are they the Zune of phones? Really, if this matures a bit I might just jump ship (I have a BB Storm on VZW) and go w/this instead. Unless, of course, the iPhone 3GS's battery life is worth the switch to that instead.

Well, the usage cost's alone for the Pre make it the better deal either way you look at it. Especially since I'll be getting 1 for myself, and 1 for the Mrs. Financially speaking, Pre might be the move. All it would need is an extended capacity battery. And a capacity boost to at least 16gb + an expansion slot and it's be almost perfect (plus my EQ people!!!).

I think that the Pre is a very good phone for just coming out. Sure it could use some work here and there but it is, Like Noah said, still in version one while the iPhone used here has iPhone os 3.0! But the Pre is awesome to bad Sprint stinks in my area! I realy like the LG Env Touch
