Video: Helio Fin (Samsung)Noah takes us to Napa CA along with the new thin Samsung Fin device. Being called the thinnest flip phone in America right now, the Samsung Fin is full of features.
12/16/2007 5:33:07 PMi have not had any trouble with billing either 11/26/2007 3:44:19 AMI have to agree with you red, the fin isnt a good phone if you are a big texter, as myself i am...so i rather choose the ocean over the fin or the heat. the keyboard not be a wide or a "fair" as some would like it to be just because they have fat fingers doesnt mean that they should complain :) 9/16/2007 7:28:02 PMbig texter* my bad. 9/16/2007 7:20:39 PMThe Fin's keys are entirely flat with no physical distinction between them. If you're a bit texter (as HΞLIO encourages you to be) then it's really not a great phone. Of course it has all of those features (all but one of which you get with the ocean) but being so thin and having a feeble hinge is not all that great. If you don't mind the thickness of the Ocean, it's your best bet. 9/8/2007 4:51:12 PMgreat review 8/26/2007 3:38:22 PMi dont know if i should get the fin or ocean. but thanks for the review 8/23/2007 1:12:11 PMThis is a review sample phone, so it comes with a trial account with everything activated - it's like their all-in plan. 8/23/2007 12:59:11 PMYou seem like the kind of guy that might enjoy an $87 bottle of wine... 8/22/2007 1:32:08 PMWell. I guess I am gonna consider and most likely get their service. Are the minutes ok for you? What plan you got? 8/22/2007 11:09:06 AMI had some big time trouble with their billing department when I bought an Ocean and then canceled within the 30 day trial period. It's a known issue in the company - their PR people tell me they're working on it. Some people have no trouble. Some have all kinds of trouble. If you read my blog at PhoneDog dot com you can learn more about it. 8/22/2007 1:43:43 AMI have had Helio for the past 4 months, and I have yet to be overcharged. I am completely happy with their service, and recommend it to anyone. 8/22/2007 1:31:16 AMIs helio worth it? Cause I think I might want Helio service. I heard they over charge you on your bill 8/21/2007 11:15:09 PM1st comment! Don't forget to submit your entry for the "PhoneDog Days of Summer" Giveaway! The American market is tightly controlled by the network operators, and half of US phones run on a proprietary standard incompatible with most of the world's networks (CDMA, used by Verizon and Sprint), a combination that's long resulted in a lack of options and innovations for U.S. consumers relative to...Samsung Omnia: Buy an Omnia, Get an Xbox 360 Free - In ItalyOne of the most exciting phones currently not coming to the US is Samsung's i900 Omnia. Omnia is set to launch in Italy next Tuesday, July 22, and will make its way across Europe by the end of August, but Samsung hasn't released any plans for a US launch.
