4/14/2008 2:28:17 AMBuy this phone is great. Dont belive what people say about bad things. They are newbie and don't know what they are talking about. Again this is best smartphone for personal and business use.

4/11/2008 1:59:28 PMDon't buy this phone. It cost roughly $549 and it doesn't even support MMS nor SprintTV. Sprint's explanation for this is .........uhhhhhh nothing! I called HTC America and they confirmed that the phone is capable, which I can tell that. It's a good phone, but for the price it's a rip off!!!!! Trust me.

3/12/2008 5:20:43 PMStereo bluetooth! How wonderful! Now I can finally throw away those wretched headphones and listen to MP3's wirelessly! I hate having to untangle cords all the time. The iPod line needs stereo bluetooth desperately. This is a nice phone. Although it runs Windows and I don't care which version of Windows it is, they ALL suck. Google needs to get their asses in gear and get ANDROID out.

3/12/2008 5:07:16 PMYou can choose to pay a penny per KB if you wish to, but before you know it, those pennies will add up so you may want to spring for an unlimited data plan.

2/9/2008 3:06:13 AMDo you have to pay for the web? Like whenever I use the web on a lot of phones they cost me so much, and that is basically what this phone is. Would I just be connecting to my on wireless connection?

9/16/2007 12:09:43 PMthanks for the response back. I'll weigh that in w/ my decision when my contract with Sprint expires next month. Whenever I go to the store the sales associates always seem clueless with little questions like that lol

9/15/2007 9:09:42 PM@joe rock: Both, unfortunately. @Dianek: Mogul's real nice. I just got a hold of an iPhone, and I'm pretty impressed - especially with all of the hacks being made for it.

8/15/2007 10:22:28 PM@berlin: Yes, though a Verizon version is said to be coming out in the next month or so. And HTC makes several other similar models, including the AT&T 8525 and (less powerful) T-Mobile Wing.

Faster: Sprint Mogul gets high speed upgrade and GPS

Faster: Sprint Mogul gets high speed upgrade and GPS
Sprint has released a software update to their HTC-built Mogul smartphone which basically doubles the handset's data download speeds - and boosting upload speeds by nearly 8x - by enabling EV-DO Rev. A.  The update also enables GPS on the Mogul, which became one of my favorite Windows Mobile devices when I reviewed it last Summer. This faster, badder, refreshed Mogul now becomes the first phone in the United States to work on an EV-DO Rev. A network, a land until now reserved for...

HTC Mogul in-depth review - Introduction & Design

HTC Mogul Introduction & Design
IntroductionHTC’s Mogul (PPC-6800) debuted at the top of Sprint’s smartphone lineup, taking the place of the much beloved PPC-6700.  A Windows Mobile 6 Pocket PC device backed by Sprint’s Power Vision EV-DO network and HTC’s impressive track record of solid hardware design, Mogul brought with it high expectations from power users looking for a compact, versatile way to stay connected.  I took Mogul with me on a three-week trip across the US and came home duly impressed.  HTC did...

HTC Mogul in-depth review - Features

FeaturesMogul can do a lot of things.  A lot.  It’s one of the first devices to ship with Windows Mobile 6, which means if it can’t do something out of the box there’s a decent chance somebody somewhere has written software you can install to do it.  That’s the nice thing about having a smartphone.  WinMob 6 Professional doesn’t add a ton of functionality as compared to its predecessor, but it does add a few notable messaging features and also runs a bit smoother. The...

HTC Mogul in-depth review - Display & Audio

DisplayMogul’s display is a 2.8” touchscreen capable of 320 x 240 resolution 65,000 colors.  While the color resolution is on the low-end of current handsets, it didn’t affect the display much in practice.  I found the screen to be sharp with good color saturation and plenty of brightness in almost all lighting conditions.  Text, graphics, and images all displayed clearly and accurately, and the only real trouble I had was the aforementioned jerky video playback inside of...

HTC Mogul in-depth review - Messaging, Internet & Connectivity

MessagingMessaging on Mogul is excellent, so long as you don’t need to send MMS messages.  I really found the slide-out QWERTY board a pleasure to type on, and the speed of Sprint’s EV-DO network made sending and receiving Email quick and easy.  Windows Mobile 6 provides support for multiple POP and IMAP email accounts and while there’s no ultra-friendly setup wizard, I was able to configure a few of my accounts - including server options and signature files - with no...

HTC Mogul in-depth review - Conclusion

ConclusionI’ve always been on the fence about whether or not to own a smartphone for personal use.  On the one hand, I really like small handsets that slip easily into my pocket when not in use.  On the other hand, the convenience and productivity enhancements offered by QWERTY keyboards and robust operating systems make today’s smartphones more and more appealing.  HTC and Sprint did an excellent job of taking everything that made the Sprint PPC-6700 smartphone such a...
