LG enV2 - Verizon Wireless - Hands on @ CTIA '08

im switchin to verizon and gettin this fone over the weekend. any advice or tips? and heres a question for noah; does this fone have chat styled texting? like showing the texts in a conversation. i used to have the lg scoop (currently i own the motorola razor blah) and it had the chat styled texting and i absolutely loved it. so if anyone has time to answer my question/questions (especialy members from phonedog) if you could answer that would be great! thanks!

The LG ENV2 absolutley SUCKS. Do NOT GET IT! Legit, I got my first LG ENV in July, and a month later without doing any damage to it, the screen turned white. I then went to the verizon store and got a new one. Now, I have had my new LGENV2 for about a month, AND AGAIN IT IS BROKEN. I can't text more than one word without the screen freezing. Each time, I have to take out the battery and restart it. I'm soo sick of this phone, and beleive me, there was NO damage done to it. I'd advise all of you to not purchase the LGENV2! VERIZON SUCKS! And they better give me a new free phone, any phone OTHER than the ENV 2. Thanks.

how much trhe the enV 2 without the contract?

I get a new this May and I am deciding wheither to get the chocolate or this phone. After watching the video and reading the reviews, I think i am going to get the eV2

3G basically means high speed data over a cell phone network. Literally it means "3rd Generation," as in 3rd generation data speeds.

Yes, 3G (EV-DO). I have the black one now. Works really well for messaging.

does the new env 2 have 3g?

saw dummy model in verizon today. Being sold tomorrow we got $100 instant rebate for every 2 year plan plus $50 mail in.Picking it up tomorrow. Our cost is $30. Comes in black....awesome. Lighter.....

enV2 drops TOMORROW - April 30. $129 after rebate, with contract. Should be getting my review model on 4/30 as well, so stay tuned for some hands-on thoughts.

so glad theres a new env2 to replace my huge bricky v. this is prob what most of those who had the original v will upgrade to.

My 2 year new upgrade is on april 30th and i called to actual company and they gave me the date wich happens to be..april 30th! i'm so excited i still have the old school chocolate

Does anyone have an idea when the phone will be able to buy? Verizon is guarding the release date like a national security issue.

I think this is a great phone, along with the original EnV. I wanted the EnV Way before it was popular and now everyone has it! So i think it will be great to get the new one and be a little different.
