Currently available with Alltel Wireless, Noah got his hands on the LG Glimmer at CTIA last week. The first touchscreen to be a part of the Alltel line-up, the Glimmer is a solid slider device with haptic feedback, media player, micro USB port, and an easy to read menu system from LG that helps you navigate thru all that Alltel has to offer.

Wednesday, May 07, 2008I've had my Glimmer for a few weeks now. It's amazing! My cousin it saying she's going to get a Venus because she thinks it will be cooler than mine... there's no way! The touch is wonderful, and there's no need for a stylus if you have thumbs! Overall it's an amazing phone! I just wish I could use my own ringtones... oh well! I still love it!

6/18/2008 3:42:22 PMSo do you need to use the actual number pad for texting or does it have a touch screen keypad??

CarmichaelEeisenring
6/17/2008 10:20:02 PMGlimmer does offer internet.....its just not as good as a black berry or soemthing like that

6/12/2008 3:12:23 AMThis phone is like the baby of a LG Vu and an LG Shine!
moneybags1306
6/11/2008 5:32:20 PMcan u use it like the vu and have the full keypad option
moneybags1306
6/11/2008 5:30:16 PMthats not alltels first touch screen
bummagish
6/9/2008 1:45:49 PMIt is just Alltel. All phones are blocked from setting .mp3 files as ringtones to keep corrupted files off the phone and of course, to make money. There are workarounds though...
lindaclements
6/8/2008 12:24:43 PMI'm trying to decide if I want a Glimmer or an HTC Touch. Which is the best to use with bluetooth because that is a requirement? Also, if internet is a necessity, then Glimmer does not offer it, right?
CarmichaelEeisenring
6/5/2008 7:32:31 PMim on my phone all the time and i do text all the time if you stay active on the phone it doesnt lock but if you dont use it it locks...i dont see how it gets old.....
Walley1992
6/5/2008 3:32:01 PMyeah it gets oldd
Walley1992
6/5/2008 3:31:20 PMyou obviously dont text or use your phone alot for that manner.

6/3/2008 9:36:42 PMThis is the best phone I have ever had, and it is very much worth the money, I had the razr2 and had to get three in about 3-4 months, and no I never dropped it, now that phone is not worth the money its $200 and their is NOTHING special about it. For any one thinking about getting this phone it is very much worth it.
CarmichaelEeisenring
6/1/2008 1:19:22 PMo and the locking thing isnt that annoying....to me it isnt....it only locks when you dont touch the screen as in pressing buttons after a certian amount of time o and it also has a "hold" button on the top left hand corner of the phone to unlock the phone instead of always hitting the screen....its got great picture and video quailty it looks like its on an actual camera....
