Nokia N97 (Unlocked) - Review, Part 1

In general, I find Noah reviews quite objective. It's a shame so many people bashed him because of his review on the 5800 XM, I had one in my hands, it wasn't as impressive as the iPhone.

None the less, I'm considering getting one of this or the 5800 xm, these have everything you need and Nokia keeps updating firmwares.

Hey, noah you seem like a really sweet guy, but when you do these videos can you jump straight to the good info about the phone? On my sputtering internet connection these videos seem to take forever, and it seems like after 5 minutes of watching you have'nt said anything meaningful regarding the utilites of the phone.Don't mean to cramp your style or anything,it's just a request.

Nokia is not impressive at all when compared to the smartphones that are out these days. As always, as soon as someone doesnt like a new smartphone, everyone else calls them iPhone fanboys. Thats getting a little old now. I, for one, do not like the iPhone, and I also do not like this phone. I have never liked Nokia phones and I still don't. Their smartphone experience just does not compare to the other smartphones on the market. I give a lot of credit to Noah for giving a true review and not giving in and acting like Nokia is the best, like all the other cell phone blogs do.

I think Noah provides non-biased, thorough, informative reviews. Keep up the good work bro, and I now know to wait till after summer for a possible better phone from Nokia. At least a Google phone, seems to be coming along nicely.

this phone is totaly useless, It has even got windows, I mean derrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It hasnt even got any desent apps or a party piece. Its jst a pile of dogs sh*t !

Although I'm a big Nokia fan myself and especially Symbian fan, on some points I will have to agree with Noah. Also, I personally don't mind that space button placed to the right instead of centered, also, I don't mind that plastic back cover thingy although, yes, it could have been better. I do mind that some keys/commends are not present for easy use on the keyboard and you have to use additional commends in order to get to them. I love the homescreen with all that widgets and stuff and I love Noah's style of reviewing phones. He's nice and funny and he knows how to do his job well. Thanks a lot, Noah!

/Agree, I for one am glad Noah does these reviews, and I will not be spending 700 bucks on a phone that looks and feels that cheap. Thx Noah, GG Nokia

I have to agree with fuzzlejr08 in that if Noah is taking the time to really get to know these phones for us...how 'bout a little less critcism folks. Think how and expensive and time consuming it would be if we did this own our own.

Well for someone who was crackin really hard for this phone I have to say I agree with this review. If I am paying 700 bucks...and let me state I only found it that cheap in one place and as high as 900, then I expect it to FEEL expensive. That battery back and keyboard are very disappointing. I agree they lost alot of space with the half/mast tilt. I still LOVE the customizable home page on it.
I am looking for a new AT&T upgrade, I myself use a VU. I was considering an Impression but have chosen not to get it due to OS lock up issues, hopefully they will work those out. So now I am looking at a Xenon because I really would like a slide out qwerty although it has less customizable widgets.
Before you say Iphone let me say, I will NOT get an Iphone as I hate them. Not to mention I have talked to two AT&T employees and many Iphone users and they are all mad that apple has SLOWED down the Iphone 3G to make the 3Gs APPEAR faster, and I think this is shady. Most likely done in desperation because their new Iphone release did not live up to the hype.

This guy is taking time to use these phones and know them inside and backwards for us and people are being criticle???? Whats up with that. This guy devotes time for people that are undecided or want information and I can see how much time he puts along with all the other phonedog people. Noah your awsome this review is the best review you can find for this phone.

R u gonna apologize or this is your real review??? r u kidding??? your IPHONE brain will never understand symbian, and all the things that nokia phones have better than the IPHONE, just T H I N K a little bit more is not that hard and i promess you will get why the chin... really dude think symbian is really not that hard try it may change your IPHONE world...

Too sad that u can't make an objective review when it comes to Nokia... dont make Nokia reviews, sotp doing them if you can't be objective then just drop it... keep doing HTC, Samsung and Apple reviews, you are good at that...
