4/15/2008 10:43:18 AMThat was the same thing when i went to the Sprint BlackBerry 8130 Pearl launch party in NYC. They rented out a really popular NYC night club and they had food, drinks, video games and they had those stations where you had to go around at the end, a lucky few got picked and won a free Pearl. I love those events!

CTIA 2008 in Las Vegas brought a lot of cool product introductions, including the highly touted Samsung Instinct, which is following in the footsteps of the Helio Ocean ($174) being touted as the "iPhone Killer."
But, I have to say that my favorite device of the entire show, was the Nokia Remade – a purely concept device that doesn't make a single call or even send texts. Announced at the end of last year, the Remade is a slight yellow and silver clamshell that is made entirely of recycled...

Taking top honors for consumer handsets was the Samsung Instinct followed by the Nokia N96. AT&T made an impact with their new TV devices, the LG Vu & Samsung Access.
Sprint today launched their big new release, the Samsung Instinct. Instinct (M800) is a no-holds-barred consumer handset with just about every feature you can think of and a full-frontal touchscreen that can't help but remind one of Apple's iPhone. Wow. It's only the end of the first day and already I feel like I've seen and done it all. Seriously. I played Rock Band for the first time this morning, went to an "Internet Cafe" 180 feet above Las Vegas this afternoon, and saw a ton of new phones, accessories, and services in between. And then there was the guided tour of Nokia's massive booth on the show floor.
