Unboxing: BlackBerry Bold 9700 (T-Mobile)

interestingly enough, the AT&T version ships with the premium headphones...they are GREAT for free headphones.

does anyone one know what would be the cheapest way to get this phone(plan wise that includes unlimited messaging and web?

i like this phone but im sticking to my 8900...

i dont really think this is worth upgrading to. blackberry seems to come out with a device every two months or so. so what is the point? this only has a couple minor differences. in my opinion, if i still choose to stick with blackberry, i think i am going to wait until they have something more to offer.

I have the original Bold 9000. To me I love how big the 9000 is. I like the 9700 but wouldn't dare trade in my Bold. I love it too much. haha

when it comes to software there'sa few things that are different. it is a lot faster, the camera shutter is faster. you have more sizing options as far as sending pictures. it looks like a solid phone. i just wish they kept the same size as the bold 1.

i'm running a leaked 5.0.314 on my 8900 & i love it! i wish the visual voicemail would work but it only half way works. i get texts about missing calls which is cool & all but i can't read the voicemail cause t-mo isn't set up for it yet.

all & all, dope o.s. & the 9700 looks like a dope phone!

Ok, ok ok... I'm posting again. I'm a big debater, debatar, dabator however you want to say it. Edrompa, thanks for agreeing with me, they are so sexy. As far as there makin the same lookin phones, hey let them. Like Aaron said in his first impressions reveiw, he's not to surprised if there makin them look the same for a purpose. RIM is going to come out with some new lookin phones, but when you have a formula that works so good and looks so great, stick with it. They might wanna make them look the same for existing BB owners, we'll miss the track ball, but the track pad feels better. If you really look at the phones, it's some similarities but there all different in design and features. Some of Androids phones look the same, don't hear no complaints there. When your on top, people always look for the bad to bring you down. Anything else that needs to be cleared up?

I'm a Blackberry fan, no phone is superior to me. There called the smartphone heavy weights for a reason. The 9700 is so sexy, (yes I said it) RIM in my opinion makes the most good lookin phones ever. Sure the screen is smaller than the G1 or any other Android phone but the resolution is the best up to date with any other phone. The BB 9700 gets it done, the battery is great, the user interface in my opinion is great, the sound quality etc etc is all great to me. I've seen other vid's, and the web browser can be somewhat better, but it does the job for me. Noah is great, I love his reviews, he's a freindly reveiwer, folks migrate to him more, but Aaron is the specialist on this and he does a good job.

does it have the music control on top of the phone like the 8520

Looks like a pretty nice device. Also, I agree Noah is awesome. However, I think Aaron did a great job and he is the blackberry specialist for phonedog so it makes sense that he did the unboxing.

Leave him alone he knows A LOT ABOUT CELL PHONES ( MORE THAN NOAH ) thats why they have him. He may not be as entertaining as Noah but Aaron is crazy smart when it comes to cell phones. Yes I do love watching Noah though.
