See I like the phone but the qwerty keyboard come on motorola could have put a little more into it but over all its still a great device and the android 2.0 is going to be the best in the market for later on phones and it really is going to be the iPhone killer.

Hey Noah I have been watching a lot of your reviews and I had a few questions. The main question was that I am really having a problem with deciding which phone I am going to get. Right now I am on Verizon and I have a blackberry curve, but the 3 or even maybe 4 phones I am looking at are the Blackberry Storm 2, The Motorola Droid, THe HTC Eris, and maybe the Blackberry Curve 2 but idk about that one because I dont think I would Like the trackpad on it. But I have played with the Storm 2 it is alright It is much better then the first one and I think I can get use to it but I really like the Android OS. The only reason I think I would get the Storm 2 is to keep BBM and maybe because the Blackberry os but I think the android phones have much more to offer with it being very customizable. And I really like the Droid it is a amazing phone i am gong to play with it on friday but it doesnt have to sense UI like the hero which is really nice and also the game teeter which is really awesome. But the over all phone is excellent and the 2.0 OS looks amazing. But u only have three screens to work with. Unlike the HTC Eris which does have the Sense UI and also 7 screens to do what you like to, but it has the 1.5 OS and is has a smaller screen then the droid. SO can you please try and help me out on my phone quest. Thanks

Add the iPhone 3GS then you have AT&T vs. Verizon, and Android vs. WinMo vs. Apple.

Why do so many people whine and complain about data plans being required for smartphones? It's like that on every site about cell phones. All the US carriers pretty much require data plans for the latest multi-media/feature-rich phones & smartphones. They're roughly about, what? $30 or so, pretty much, on all the carriers when you break it down, on average? Not that bad for practically unlimited service, regardless of your carrier. The simple fact is that if you're on a carrier which will require the phone to be on a plan with an unlimited data plan, then bam, you've got to upgrade your plan. Seems like too many broke ass people want high end smartphones and are essentially looking for Cristal with a MGD budget.

The question is not whether or not people like me are cheap. It is whether we need to pay more for internet access and such by way of a data plan versus a connect plan.
I don't understand what you are getting by a data plan vs a connect plan. Both allow access to the internet. I would love to know if an unlocked version of a Droid can be used on a Connect Plan... how would it be different if it can be done?

people on the verizon network should KNOW that all smartphones require the data plan.. its around $30 per month. the DROID is a smartphone.... duh.

and i just hope that this phone is worth the money, because i purchased a blackberry storm when it was new, and i was dissapointed. and i need a pick me up. i enjoy noah's video reviews... thanks for the help Noah! and why would he do a droid vs hero dog fight??? they are both google android, and both on different networks, and they both have basicaly the same software... the only real differenced are a few minor software pieces and the hardware... not a good dog fight choice.

I totally agree with you. The cheap need to either do without up-to-date plans and phones associated with those plans, or buy an unlocked GSM version and just use it as a PDA. It seems like a lot of people who don't believe in unlimited data plan for smartphone requirements essentially want to either have a high end high tech smartphone on their old current plan they've had for a million years, thinking all the carriers should honor discounts on brand new smartphones to be used on plans with data features that they haven't offered in years.
