i'm on T-Mobile and right now i have a sidekick '08, i'm updating my phone on Jan 7 of '09, and need help to find the right phone,. I think I'm in a love triangle with the G1 and the Behold, (and i cheat with the BB pearl flip on the weekends lol) i love touch screens but its only a fad (i think??), i do alot of txting, IMing, myspace apps, use my organizer, and e-mailing a lot, i also use my phone as a mp3 player with a bluetooth stereo headset. I have use all three phones for at lest one day, and i cant find a thing wrong with any of them, they all fill good to me but hey i use i sidekick!.   PLEZ HELP!!!

Well i can shed some light on the g1 for you. The pros of the device are pretty much everything about the Android. The os is awesome to use and it is really responsive. With the g1 you have your email setup wich works nicely and mms and IM works well. The negatives are the wonky wifi--the battery life(which is horrible) and the actually design of the phone. If you can over look those it is a game changer and fun to use as noah said in his review.

Coming from a Sidekick, with one of the best keyboards on the planet (IMO), I think you'll be disappointed using SureType on a Flip. So, I'd rule that out.  I have an Eternity on my AT&T account, and it's a cousin to the Behold.  There isn't much not to like about it, however, you may find that your e-mail accounts are limited to what T-Mobile provides through their e-mail interface. A "master code" has been published around the forums, and allegedly, that will allow full POP mail account access, but I don't think it's a perfect solution. So, the e-mail provider(s) you use, might be a factor in the Behold purchase. I had a G1 on my T-Mo account, and found that the wi-fi was flakey, the battery life was awful, they keyboard was mushy, and the "chin" made it a pain to type on that mushy keyboard. Take that OS, and put it on different hardware, and it would likely be top-notch.  For now though, I'd pass on the G1. Honestly, with you coming from a Sidekick, with a hardware keyboard, and the ability to poll whatever e-mail accounts you like, I think a full QWERTY BlackBerry is your best choice. I'd suggest the 8320.
