Why do you ask for my Zip Code? Your location is important in determining which carriers offer new service in your area. Our system enables you to view which services are available to purchase in your area. You can view all carrier specials anywhere in the U.S. by entering "00000" as your zip code
What do you mean by authorized online dealers? At PhoneDog.com we are proud to have direct relationships with every authorized online dealer. There are only five authorized online dealers approved by carriers to sell wireless devices online in addition to the carriers' own websites. The online dealers are: Let's Talk, Wirefly, FonCentral, Simply Wireless and Amazon.com. While you may see hundreds of websites claiming to sell handsets at the lowest prices, in fact they are going through one of these authorized online dealers to fulfill your order.
Can I keep my existing phone number? Yes, transferring your current cellular phone number to a new carrier has become a standard process. During the checkout process, you’ll be asked it you want to “Port” or “Transfer” and existing number. Final instructions on how to finish the transfer will be provided when you receive your new phone. Just be sure that you DO NOT cancel your existing service with your current carrier until your number is working properly on your new phone.
Who do I pay?/Who will bill me? Products, (Phones and accessories) purchased will be fulfilled by the authorized dealer or online store you choose to purchase from. The cellular Carrier (Cingular, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, etc...) will bill you for your monthly cellular service plan(s).
How do I get my rebates, if any? During the purchasing process, detailed information is shown about the specific rebate being offered and how it must be redeemed. At PhoneDog.com we highly recommend that you review and understand the specific requirements for all rebates that are being offered. Specific receipts, dates, plan requirements, and codes may be important for redeeming your rebate(s).
Can I upgrade my current cellular phone or service plan? Lets Talk is the only authorized dealer that allows phone upgrades through its site, for most carriers. You can find an upgrade link on the Lets Talk site directly. Service plan upgrades must be made directly with the wireless carrier.
Will there be a credit check for service? Yes. Besides your name and address, service providers may require information such as birth date, social security number, employer name, and driver's license to evaluate your credit. All personal information is encrypted before being sent to the carrier and is not shared.
