Phonedog.com was great at getting us the best priced long distance for the area we live in. We live in the country outside of a major metro area and don't have the greatest selection of LD carriers available. Our local carrier didn't provide us with as complete a listing of LD carriers as Phonedog did.

Verizon charged me over $200.00 for a 20 minute phone call to Sweden (it was like the 1940's). Katrina chased us out of New Orleans and into central Louisiana. It's lovely and peaceful here, and so far we've avoided additional catastrophes, but isolation has its price: communication is both difficult and expensive. Since Phonedog freed us from exorbitant long distance charges, I thought I'd ask you to try to find the solution to two other of our communications problems: cell phone and internet service. We still have our New Orleans Alltel service and LG phones. Service is miserable, largely owing to dependence on analog signals and fewer towers. Internet service isn't particularly expensive, but DSL isn't available, so patience has become the name of the game. Can you offer any suggestions to improve our communication capacity and/or speed?

What a joy to find your website, by accident, actually! Our current carrier now charges for a paper bill (which I hadn't realized, nor had I understood the exorbitant calling card surcharge (much to my financial loss over the past 18 months, I am sorry to say); the customer service person told me to go to the website and request the email statement; I searched its name, and ended up on your website, and immediately told the current carrier: stop!
