Opex Plans

Opex Value 2.5

COMPANY REVIEW - OPEX was purchased by Total Call International (TCI) in mid 2008.  TCI and Opex are still offering separate long distance calling plans as detailed below.  After selecting this plan the correspondence between yourself and this company will reflect both company names Opex/TCI.  OPEX is a leader in quality and superior customer service in the long distance industry.

PLAN REVIEW - On August 9, 2013 Opex changed this plan from Opex Value Plus 2.7 to Opex Value 2.5.  This plan is an excellent choice for callers who generally make more than $20 a month in calls to avoid paying the $2 minimum usage fee. Many states have very low in-state rates as well.  On December 6, 2013 the $2 fee if usage is less than $2 changed to $2 fee if usage is less than $20.

PAPER Vs. EMAIL BILL - While you can choose to receive a Paper Bill in the mail each month, we recommend opting for the email version of the invoice.  Receiving a paper bill from OPEX will generate an account maintenance fee of $0.79 for residential and $1.99 for business accounts.

NEW TOLL FREE RATES - Back in December 2012 Opex began offering rates starting at less than one cent per minute. Monthly fee for toll free services is $3.99 or $5.99 for vanity numbers. The monthly fee can be waived if you use more than $5 a month in toll free calling charges. A one time set up cost of $9.99 will be charged or $14.99 for a vanity number.

Billing Increment: Domestic calls are billed in 60 second increments and so are International calls.

This usually means you have LOCAL phone service with a smaller independent phone company which charge higher rates for companies like OPEX to operate.   On August 9, 2013 Opex changed this plan from Opex Value Plus 3.9C to Opex Value 4.5.
