So far, very good!

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Mrs. Stevens on Wednesday, May 30, 2007
From: Mission Viejo, CA (United States)
Experience: 3 Months
Pros: Clear lines, incremental billing

Cons: nothing so far

Summary: I switched to 3U Telecom because the international LD service we had previously was very inconsistent in quality even when I could actually get a call through. So far I've had no problems calling those same countries (Taiwan, Sweden and Czech Republic) and the call clarity has been great! Best of all, the cost is very reasonable.

Satisfied

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Sam Fulford on Wednesday, May 16, 2007
From: Pullman, WA (United States)
Experience: 60 Days
Pros: If you have less that $3.00 they don't bill until following month. No Carrier Cost Recover or such nonsense.

Cons: Not the cheapest but close.

Summary: Seems to be what they advertise. Good backup to a cell phone. Overseas rates main reason I switched. Like the ides of being able to call overseas from cell phone but have not tried this yet.

Best Change You can make!!

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Judith Adams on Tuesday, April 17, 2007
From: Suwanee, GA (United States)
Experience: 90 Days
Pros: My bill went from hundreds of dollars a month to less than a quarter of the cost!

Cons: My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner!

Summary: I was very hesitant to make the change to 3U Telecom. I had no previous knowledge of this company and was leery of the promises. I couldn't believe my first few bills! They were cut by over 75%!! They were responsive and helpfull to my questions and aided me when I was in europe about my communication questions. Thanks so Much!

Service is good

Overall Rating:
3.8 out of 5
By: Helen Matheson on Tuesday, April 17, 2007
From: Englewood, FL (United States)
Experience: 3 Months
Pros: Prompt attention and quick upload of service

Cons: Loss of use for several hours; delay in connection

Summary: It was easy to get hooked up to the service, and we certainly like the costs. Also easy to get bill payments and the voice quality seems fine. A small delay in connection is easy to put up with.

By: Katherine Musgrove on Monday, March 12, 2007
From: Wellington, OH (United States)
Experience: 60 Days
Pros: One second billing

Summary: We have had no problems with 3U and would refer them to anyone needing long distance service. The international rates are great and are a big savings when you make calls overseas. We really appreactate the one second billing and the money we save there!

From: Utica, NY (United States)
Experience: 3 Months
Pros: Inexpensive, Good Quality, Online Billing

Cons: None, so far

Summary: We switched to 3U Telecom mainly because of its inexpensive rates to Europe. I was a little anxious about the quality, but it is very good. You can't beat them for their long-distance prices. Highly Recommended.

Good service

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Russ Opland on Thursday, February 08, 2007
From: Wilmington, DE (United States)
Experience: 3 Months
Pros: Dial international calls direct from cell phone (once registered). Good voice quality. International calling card access works well.

Cons: Very occasional dropped international call.

Summary: I switched from another company, where I very frequently had to re-dial to get through, and the line quality was routinely bad. I've had no such problems here, and it's very convenient to dial direct from my cell without having to use an access number. I can still use an access number from work. I've used the international calling card from South Africa, Belgium, and the UK, with no problems.

    Updated iPhone live TV app

Lots of great stuff happening for iPhone and iPod Touch users this week. The latest from Orb is no exception. Seriously? Riots?: NYers line up, wait, and get angry over BlackBerry Storm

    Storm Riots in NYC

What ever happened to try before you buy?  Hordes of CrackBerry addicts in New York City braved sub-freezing temperatures to line up before 6am this morning at Verizon stores in hopes of landing a BlackBerry Storm.  Lots of 'em apparently went home (or to the office) cold and angry, as VZW didn't have enough stock to meet the demand. So much for reading reviews and carefully considering new purchases in this time of economic...

Southeast Asia: is mobile web use surpassing wired access?

SE Asia: mobile vs. wired web

The Norwegian creators of the Opera browsers said today that mobile Internet use seems to be surpassing wired access in much of Southeast Asia. And that in some areas, it's the standard means of access, rather than the alternative. You can check out their monthly State of the Mobile Web report here. Storm: Verdict? Disappointing

I really, really want to like Verizon's new BlackBerry Storm.  I want to love it.  Why?  Well, competition is good, and in the year and a half since the original iPhone launched, no other phone has been able to match the performance of its touchscreen or Web browser.  HTC's Touch Pro and G1, and Samsung's Epix and Eternity have impressed me as of late, but none of these devices offers the fingers-on touchscreen experience of...
