Make sure your phone company actually makes the switch. Sprint charged me twice to switch me but didn't actually do it. After receiving a massive bill from Sprint I spent hours sorting it out. Opex was able to tell me my service wasn't on, and what technical info to tell Sprint. It's a knock against Sprint (who offered me a great deal on long distance for my trouble. I turned down 10 c a minute, thanks) but also shows that it's not always seaSummary: My long distance carrier does one thing. As far as I'm concerned, they carry my long distance calls and bill me. As long as the service works, sounds good, etc, then cost is the only thing I worry about, and Opex is the cheapest 'bill by the minute' service that still offers helpful phone or online service.
