Pioneer TelephoneOverall Rating: By: Terry Richards on Monday, May 12, 2008From: Pinckney, MI (United States) Experience: 1 Days Pros: ?Cons: it was hard to understand the person who answered our calls; we had to "mediate" between Pioneer and our present phone companySummary: We actually never got hooked up to Pioneer. First, they told us that the other company (PNG) had a lock on our line, and said that I needed to call PNG. I did so, and PNG claimed that they didn't have a lock on our line. A few days later, PNG left a curious message on our answering machine - "send an LLR" - and of course, not knowing what it was, I called PNG aqain. I discovered what it was, and called Pioneer, who told me that they didn't know what an LLR was, could I call PNG again and ask them to release the line. I actually called PNG one last time. All they could tell me was that Pioneer needed to send an LLR. After that point, I was very frustrated, and did not pursue the matter further. Our credit card "hold" finally ran out at Pioneer, and we will not seek to strike up a relationship with them. I wish that we could write a more positive review, but that has been our experience. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to express our dissatisfaction. 2 out of 6 people found this review helpful
Pioneer 2.7 Rate BusterOverall Rating: By: Roy McKnight on Friday, May 09, 2008From: Brookfield, WI (United States) Experience: 3 Months Pros: No monthly fee or minimum usage, very good per minute rate, provides 1 + long-distance accessCons: Be aware of the $10 initial chargeSummary: This service provides good value with no monthly fees or minimum usage requirements. It is excellent for those who do not make a lot of long-distance calls. The initial $10 fee is credited to your account to pay for the first few calls you make. Voice Quality is as good as the MCI service we had before. Highly recommend. 6 out of 9 people found this review helpful

Pioneer 2.7Overall Rating: By: Joanna R. on Wednesday, May 07, 2008From: Jacksonville, FL (United States) Experience: 90 Days Pros: Cheap ratesCons: Substandard voice quality, fades in and outSummary: Have had a problem with voice quality fading in and out. Also, I tried to enter the access code for a conference call and the conference call service could not detect the digits entered. No one else on the call had a problem, and I had to use my cellphone to participate in the call. 3 out of 6 people found this review helpful
Pioneer 2.7 Rate Buster ReviewOverall Rating: By: Robin Welsh on Wednesday, May 07, 2008From: Alexandria, VA (United States) Experience: 9 Months Pros: Low rate. Easy to setup. I receive an email each month that notifies me of my charges.Cons: Have to go to site to pull up call details.Summary: The main reason I decided to look for a new carrier was cost. Pioneer offered me a great rate for the calls I make. I usually don't make many, so I was looking for a carrier that would not charge me an arm and a leg for those calls or a monthly flat fee. The whole process was very easy to do online. I would recommend Pioneer to anyone. 4 out of 8 people found this review helpful
