Pioneer 3.25 TalkCents

Overall Rating:
2.7 out of 5
By: Joseph Ingersoll on Monday, March 20, 2006
From: Delaplane, VA (United States)
Experience: 90 Days
Pros: I like the price and that I get billed in 6 second increments

Cons: I had a hard time getting my 5 lines switched over. You only provide for one phone line on your initial contact.

Summary: It took me about 20 days to get my phone lines switched. I had a real hard time. I have five lines. The difference between in-state and state-to-state calls that I had to set up different PIC codes was not explained until I made the fourth phone call to Pioneer. This should be done during the first phone call. Now that it is set up, I do love the service. Thank you.

Phone Dog = Top Dog

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: David Paulson on Friday, March 10, 2006
From: Gaithersburg, MD (United States)
Experience: 30 Days
Pros: I have had a wonderful experience changing my long distance carrier.

Cons: non that I can think of.

Summary: Phone dog has been great to work while I switched to a new long distance carrier. The switch to from my old provider was seemless and easy. I wish I had switched earlier.

Pioneer Telephone

Overall Rating:
4.3 out of 5
By: Arlen L on Monday, February 27, 2006
From: Metairie, LA (United States)
Experience: 4 Months
Pros: I can't beat this price. I have had no problems whatsoever. I am only sorry I waited so long to subscribe

Cons: The only con is that the detail summary of my long distance calls are not formatted. That makes it really difficult to read. But it is rare that I have to read it anyway. The one time I did use online customer service, I did not like that they did not specifically respond to the question I asked. The response was kind of generic.

Summary: I have nothing negative to say about this company. My transition from ATT and Bellsouth went swimmingly. I have had no problems whatsoever with anything. My bill comes and I pay it. It is something that has entered my life seamlessly. Great choice.

Pioneer Telephone

Experience: 3 Months
Summary: I am very happy with my long distance service. I have not experienced any problems. I am very pleased with the cost of the service. They did not surprise me with hidden fees. I do not make many long distance calls, so I like not being charged a low usage fee if I use online billing.

So Far SoGood

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Harold Hopkins on Wednesday, February 15, 2006
From: Colorado Springs, CO (United States)
Experience: 3 Months
Pros: No problems with the service so far

Summary: As we use the long distance service very little, we have not had a problem with it so far. I think it is great that a person can pay for what he needs and not what the phone company thinks he needs. Finding Pioneer on the internet was easy and simple to sign up for. I have recomended it to all my friends that have internet access.

By: Dale Imbleau on Friday, February 03, 2006
From: Portland, OR (United States)
Pros: It is everything that it stated it was.

Cons: You pay on line and the Pioneer website is a little hinky.

Summary: I have been using the service for a few months now and could not be happier. Contact from Pioneer is low key and non intrusive. I would highly recommend this.

Pioneer Telephone

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Joe Blazenski on Wednesday, February 01, 2006
From: Bend, OR (United States)
Experience: 60 Days
Pros: A real person who speaks American English answers the phone

Cons: Changing providers was a hassle with Qwest. It took over a month to get it right (not Pioneer's fault).

Summary: They do what they say. Has lowered my phone bill.

Service is Great.

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Anonymous Review on Thursday, January 19, 2006
From: northfolk, TX (United States)
Experience: 3 Months
Pros: Quality of service and value

Cons: None to Date

Summary: I have been a customer since mid-October and have been very impressed with service to date. I primarily use the service to make international calls, and the voice quality is equal or better to any of the other services I have used in the past (e.g., SBC, "1010-'s", etc.). I plan to continue using "phonedog" for the foreseeable future.

LD Switchover not always a snap

Overall Rating:
2.8 out of 5
By: i estrada on Sunday, January 01, 2006
From: Sunnyvale, CA (United States)
Experience: 45 Days
Pros: Cheap rates, good connections.

Cons: Customer service follow-up can be improved.

Summary: After switching from my previous provider and supposedly confirming 3 times, I finally tried to make an international long distance call and found out that I had not been switched, I was somehow still using my original provider. Customer Service via e-mail is very responsive, but when I called Pioneer's Customer Service and left a message, they never called back or sent an e-mail. I'm still waiting for a callback.

By: Dick Matthews on Monday, December 26, 2005
From: Warrenton, VA (United States)
Experience: 60 Days
Pros: Inexpensive!

Cons: None to date.

Summary: Verizon with long distance was too expensive.
I would like to find a cheaper local phone carrier, than Verizon. Pioneer has been a great find and I recommend one consider it.
