New fold-style phone includes 1.3 megapixel camera, e-mail capability and a music player

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Designed for customers who want to have the latest features like e-mail capability with support for attachments, a 1.3 megapixel camera with video recorder and a music player, but also appreciate a classic design, Nokia today announced the new Nokia 6263 phone, now available nationwide from T-Mobile USA, Inc. The Nokia 6263 features a fold-style design, a 2.2" 16 million color QVGA primary display, large exterior mounted music keys for easy access to saved music tracks, and the ability to hold over 350 songs with its included 512MB memory card, or up to 3000 with an optional 4GB card.

"Many customers are looking to own a device that offers the latest conveniences, and want all of those features in a stylish - but classically-styled - phone. The Nokia 6263 is designed expressly for those people," said Frank Vium, vice president of sales for Nokia. "We are excited to be working with T-Mobile to bring this compelling blend of fun and function to customers across the country."

For the productivity-minded owner, the Nokia 6263 includes e-mail capability with support for attachments, a powerful XHTML browser, support for Java(TM) and Flash Lite content, and can easily be synchronized to a desktop by using Nokia's PC Suite software, which can be downloaded for free from www.nokiausa.com. The Nokia 6263 includes a large slate of features designed to enhance a mobile lifestyle. A 1.3 megapixel camera with video recorder makes it easy to capture special moments.  The Bluetooth® wireless technology makes it possible to connect the Nokia 6263 to a wide variety of mobile enhancements like stereo wireless headsets and speakers, computers and even new vehicles with Bluetooth hands-free technology. The standard high capacity battery can easily allow Nokia 6263 owners to stay in touch with their friends, family and business associates with up to 3 1/3 hours of talk time, or over 11 days of standby time.

For maximum music enjoyment, a wide variety of music file formats, including MP3, AAC, eAAC+ and WMA, are supported by the Nokia 6263, as are the DRM-protected Windows Media® music files that are available from most online music stores on the Internet. Many widely used music software packages can be used to manage and synchronize tracks between the Nokia 6263 and a PC. For even more music - as well as news, talk and sports - the Nokia 6263 also includes an integrated stereo FM radio.

Here comes Android: T-Mobile lights Bay Area up with 3G

We knew it was coming, we just didn't think it'd be here so soon.  According to T-Mobile's coverage maps, my home, my office, and the rest of the San Francisco Bay Area is now blanketed with 3G data coverage.  According to my Sony Ericsson TM506, one of my network options is now "T-Mobile 3G."  Sweet. T-Mobile News has a nifty page up with thumbnails of the coverage maps for 10 of T-Mo's new 3G areas: check it out. Can't wait...

Woo-Hoo!: T-Mo 3G for ME in Mid-October

Say it's so, T-Mo!  I just got word that T-Mobile will be lighting up the San Francisco area with 3G HSDPA service to coincide with next month's launch of the Android-powered HTC Dream.  Whether or not "San Francisco" will include the East Bay, where I live and work most of the time, isn't yet clear to me.  So I should probably stop with the Woo-Hoos and find out some more details.T-Mobile is also planning to roll 3G out in...
Future Talk: Netbooks and MIDs will have 3G/3G built-in. So what?

Future Talk: Netbooks and MIDs will have 3G/3G built-in. So what?

There's been a lot of talk over the past several months about Netbooks and now MIDs.  Netbooks are ultra-light, ultra-portable, low cost laptop computers like the Asus Eee PC, MSI Wind, Lenovo S10, and Dell Inspiron 910 Mini - they generally have screens in the 7-10" range, run an Intel Atom or similar low-powered chip, and cost in teh neighborhood of $400-500 (or more, depending on the configuration).  MIDs are smaller tablet-like...
N85: Nokias Strange Slider Gets North American 3G

N85: Nokia's Strange Slider Gets North American 3G

I'm only calling Nokia's new N85 strange because I'm not entirely sure why it exists.  When you look at the thing, both literally and figuratively (i.e. on the spec sheet), it's not all that different from the N96.  I guess it has a smaller screen and less internal storage, and CellPhone Signal is calling it "a video oriented successor to the Nokia N96."  Except that doesn't make sense because it's the N85, not the N97, so...

Phonescoop did a video review of the phone if you want to check it out in action Here -> http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Re: Nokia 6263 3g

The phone is really nothing special even with 3G capablity. BTW T-Mobile hasn't made their 3G network live yet! If you have the money look into any one of the N-Series of phones by Nokia. You won't get 3G (because T-Mobile uses the 1700Mhz frequency), but you will get a lot more phone for the money. IMO

Nokia 6263 3g

I Think I may pick up one of these to use as a second phone. Does anyone have any hands on experience with it yet? If so please advise

Re: Nokia 3G Phone

I don't have this phone yet but I've heard N6680 have two integrated digital cameras 1.3 megapixels in the back, VGA in the front, which means you can conduct face-to-face video calls from your phone. In addition, it has High-speed connections with 3G and EDGE. Do you think it's great?

Seriously? Riots?: NYers line up, wait, and get angry over BlackBerry Storm

    Storm Riots in NYC

What ever happened to try before you buy?  Hordes of CrackBerry addicts in New York City braved sub-freezing temperatures to line up before 6am this morning at Verizon stores in hopes of landing a BlackBerry Storm.  Lots of 'em apparently went home (or to the office) cold and angry, as VZW didn't have enough stock to meet the demand. Storm: Verdict? Disappointing

I really, really want to like Verizon's new BlackBerry Storm.  I want to love it.  Why?  Well, competition is good, and in the year and a half since the original iPhone launched, no other phone has been able to match the performance of its touchscreen or Web browser.  HTC's Touch Pro and G1, and Samsung's Epix and Eternity have impressed me as of late, but none of these devices offers the fingers-on touchscreen experience of...
