Falling in line with its predecessor, the iPhone 4S is easily one of the best phones we at PhoneDog have ever used. Many were expecting a totally new teardrop design and larger display, and felt letdown when Apple announced an evolutionary update versus the purported revolutionary new phone. As a student, I always want the best phone. My friend got the iPhone 4, and I had to have it. At that time, I had the Droid X2, which happened to flop and Verizon replaced it with a free iPhone 4S. So I got what I wanted. The transition from Android to iOS was quite different. When I went to iOS, I had a flawless experience with a few minor issues here and there (what operating system doesn't have 'em). But it felt good that my phone never randomly shut off on me randomly unlike prior Droids. I've had experience with all types of Android overlays: HTC Sense 3.5, Touchwiz, and Motoblur (whatever they call it these days). The only gripe I have is the durability, I love the sleekness of the device, but hate that it is easily breakable. Did you think a HS student would know so much about tech news? Overall, a 4.8/5
