No more PC private desktop

Posted on: December 1st, 2015 by Deckerp

I bought the Priv the day it came out with the understanding that it could read both languages and sync like all my past blackberry's did using the blackberry desktop to mirror image my Q-10 backup disk like I've done since the 8100 way back. I have approx. 5 gig of personal data I no longer can use or have to input one by one. They tell me the Corporate enterprise software has the capability but the magic word is Corporate.I'm just me and can buy into an elaborate corporate server. So as for all you old long time blackberry users out there get ready for a let down not unless they come out with a app that isn't shared or third party personal desktop app that allows you to take your old device like the classic or Q-10 backup disk and sync it with your Priv. Plan on starting from scratch. And another thing when your out in the field and use to coming home or to your office connecting your phone to your pc working with it on your 20" monitor scheduling your calendar for the next day prepair to get ready to tape your priv to the monitor because there isn't a desktop program. Is this asking to much? To be able to do what I've been use to doing for the last 15 years? I've lost my phone in the past use to mirror image backup each day go down to the phone store purchase new device go home connect it to my pc and in 1 hour or so have an exact mirror image of the device I lost down to the last text I sent! This with the Priv isn't possible anymore. It's like you own a galaxy or iPhone now. Restore will only five you your pics and apps back only. Start from scratch. To me that's not my BlackBerry.PRS
