"Although the design of this phone is beautiful, it doesn't really stand a chance against android smartphones."
The HTC 8x was at first a very appealing phone, however after buying it I changed my mind. First of all I'll start with the display and the app store; the app store is not impresive at all because most of the applications are not official; Youtube for example, and the few Impressive games cost you; Draw Something for example cost .99 cents and is really a dissapointment. "Great device, leaves very little to be desired"
The WP 8X by HTC is no doubt an amazing device. First things first, I am not here to criticize the Windows Phone 8 Operating system, just the phone itself The device has everything you need, a great screen (which for me is the perfect size), decent battery life (It always gets me through a day), fast processor (I am never left waiting for the phone to catch up, it always flows along right with me), a great camera that's all you'll ever need from a smartphone and a beautiful design that attracts... more...report

Battery life is excellent if you turn off what background apps that you don't need. I get 2 days at full use sometimes. Speed is flawless. Were talking smoothness and the processing time of the Note II on opening apps. Even just using the phone is flawless in smoothness. (And it's only a duel core.) Memory will never run out. Good luck trying to make it do so. 16 gigs is actually 23 gigs if you include the SkyDrive function. 23 gigs is actually 2 terabytes (2 terabytes VIA that's how much... more...report

The phone is great. The only this is the lack of apps. The apps are getting better. i have come from iphone and android and by far this is the best phone i have had yet.report

"Pretty good phone"
This is a really nice device! It is quick, it has an amazing display, and it has a sleek design! Battery life is better than all of my droids but worse than any of my iPhones. The only problems i am having is that I drop calls constantly and there are barely any apps on the WP market. They really need to boost the app selection or i will be switching back to an iPhone soon.report

"This is a WP8 Signature Phone for a reason!"
This is the best Windows Phone 8 on the market. Nokia's pre-loaded apps and the much hyped camera can't make up for the fact that it looks and like a brick!report

"Saweeeet Windows Phone!!"
My wife has had the Verizon 8X for about a week and I'm completely jealous. Love the Metro interface, responsiveness and speed of the phone, the display is killer, the feel of the chassis is by far the best IMHO...feels so good in your hand and is very pocket friendly. This phone screams look at me cuz I'm one bad mamajama!..haha! MS apps may be lagging behind the big 2 but give it 6 mo. and that argument will be a moot point. Can't wait for the Verizon Red model to hit the market so I can... more...report

"Great try on htc's part"
Pretty display Battery life is dependent on what you were doing, Web browsing, email, text and calls where great. Start YouTube ( or metrotube) or navigation and you can kiss that precious battery life goodbye. Good soft feel. Sturdy and not unwieldy. The color options are a welcome addition.
