How different is Eris from the GSM and Sprint versions of the Hero? Well, the form factor, soft touch, and capacitive buttons have won me over. That's right, one of the Euopean phone's most ardent advocates (in terms of aesthetic design) has switched teams. "All kinds of awesome."
The good: Applications, the GREAT virtual keyboard, Sense UI and it's corresponding widgets, call clarity and reception. The bad: Slight lags in performance here and there, battery life could use a smidge of improvement Summary: This phone is awesome. I've had mine for about a month and have no intention on returning it. I use it mostly for music, text messaging, various forms of internetting, and for directions and GPS.
