G-1 phone

Posted on: January 4th, 2010 by DNA LEARN

The good: very stylish, easy to use & we get compliments all the time...touch screen and keyboard makes life so easy...GPS is wayyyy better then our TOM TOM (we don't get lost on dead end roads anymore)The bad: battery...but the more it does, the more power it uses...which is understandableSummary: my husband and i both have the same phone in the bronze color...we have had smart phones and this is the best ever!!! camera takes great pics for a phone and texting is sooo easy.

Nice, solid phone, with a KILLER OS!

Posted on: January 1st, 2010 by Jarid Jones

The good: -Android OS is simply outstanding! From the browsing experience to the Android Market, there isn't a shortage of great things it can do! -Maybe I'm in the minority, but I like the look and feel of the phone. It wasn't as bulky and heavy as I thought it would be, and it's comfortable to hold, type, and to carry around. I really like the slide out qwerty keyboard, and I'm getting used to the virtual keyboard. I didn't think I would like touch screen, but I find myself using it more andThe bad: -The music player layout. This is probably me nitpicking, but I'm not a fan of the music player. It sounds fine, but the layout isn't as smooth as, say tcpmp (the player I used on my previous phone). It's something that doesn't bother me too much, though.-The battery life. Although it's a LOT better than I expected, I wish HTC would have included a longer lasting battery for those of us who use this phone while on the go a lot. I am going to purchase one of those extended batteries fSummary: Overall, I love the G1! I've had it for a few days, and I'm very happy with my purchase! I cannot express how awesome the Android OS is! The phone part itself (funny how we forget that sometimes) is nice. I've had no problems on that end. If you're looking for a smart phone that won't drain your wallet, consider the G1. If anything, you'll fall in love with the Android OS!

The good: capacitive touch screen, good resolution, excellent web browsing,nice querty keyboard,marketplace.custom desktop with widgets and appsThe bad: no 3.5mm headphone jack must use usb adapter,not very stylish,battery life not the greatest expandable up to 2600 mah if your willing give the phone some thickness stock battery is 1150mahSummary: i have been following the g1 since the rumors first escalated of the device and i must say i,m not mad that i followed this phone. first and foremost the phone is not stylish not the least bit but features this phone have are very good with all the apps,different widgets and the growing android operating system you make this phone your own.It proves there is much more to come in mobile world

T-Mobile G1/ HTC Dream

Posted on: March 18th, 2009 by Joshua Graham

The good: It runs Android. Amazing Capacitive Touch Screen -Best Screen I've used since the iPhones. Android interface is nice and responsive and comes with Android Market for 3rd party programs.The bad: Battery life could be better just make sure to charge it every night. I wish that it had better styling, I'm not big on the plastic but it looks and feels nice and solid in the hand for being mostly plastic.A problem with Android is that your tied to Google services, which you can port stuff over so it's not that big of a deal it's just a bother.Summary: It's a good phone, but your paying for it with the required data service at $25 a month and $200 initial price tag. I recomment whole heartidly.

G1 = Meh; Android = YAY!

Posted on: February 24th, 2009 by Anonymous

The good: Android! And a keyboard + trackball!The bad: Silly shape & sliding design, wonky USB port.Summary: ANDROID! This is everything good about the iPhone, on a decent handset! Coming from the iPhone to the G1's physical keyboard, I make practically no mistakes while typing. Thanks to the trackball, I don't really need to zoom in on web pages anymore, and for any complaints about it's native browser, you have options! I have personally tried Browser, Opera, and Steel, with Steel being my personal favorite. Flash is compatible and in the works, more than can be said for the iPhone. The apps, while not as numerous, are pretty amazing, with access to more hardware functions than any other phone out yet, making them MUCH more useful.The only things that bothers me is that the screen, when extended, doesn't hold itself in a straight line, parallel to the top row of keys. With my Libra Moon, I like my lines to have angularity! Like everyone, I also don't understand why there isn't a standard headphone jack, even if it had to be next to the proprietary ExtUSB one. Hopefully other Android phones will utilize other sliding mechanisms (like on the TouchPro2!) and port designs in the future!

G1 Best Phone Yet...

Posted on: December 3rd, 2008 by antoine nelson

The good: Does everything that the Iphone does.The white is a eye catcher for women. Key board makes it so easy to txt. Apps Market is Free!!!! that means that shazam that is so cool on the Iphone G1 has it for free.. Three screens Count them 3 that you can swip over too. Oh Google street view kicks ass if you stay in a big city.The bad: Battery Life sucks, I mean it really does. I.M sucks it keeps kicking you out.. Cam is slow, and thats about it. if you can live with those it is the best phone since the car Phone!!!Summary: You will love the phone. It does everything, like i mean everything and all Apps are free!!!! if you thinken bout getting the phone get it. Its cheaper then switching to the Iphone and its different.. Has the best touch screen next to the iphone. I love it i have no second thoughts about it.

My G1

Posted on: November 23rd, 2008 by Jazmyn Meredith

The good: Touch Screen-So easy to control.Color-I think the black G 1 is SO ugly but I love looking at the white one.Market-So far I love the apps that I downloaded for FREE!!! But I heard that that's going to stop after January...Don't take my word for it though!The bad: Internet-sometimes it won't load my page, but I don't know if that's the service or the phone...My guess it's the service.Battery Life-Not so good...I ALWAYS have to charge it at night and sometimes during the day.Summary: I LOVE MY G 1...I had recently upgraded to the Behold and I hated it because it didn't do half the things that my blackberry did...So I called and asked if I can exchange it for the white G1 and they said sure...Best decision ever...I get all the functions that I used on my Blackberry plus a touch screen...I'm so satisfied with my decision to upgrade! I would recommend the G1 (white) to anyone. Especially if you like the functions of the blackberry but you want a touch screen phone.I haven't used the camera functions yet but I see that it doesn't have a flash but hopefully the pictures still turn out well. At the end of the day all I can say is that the phone is worth the money?And I should know, I paid $400 for the phone, including express shipping and handling.
