"This is the best phone I have ever owned."

After owning a few smartphones, and switching to Windows Phone 7, I got a chance to go back to Android because my phone broke. So I did. I chose the HTC One S because, in my opinion, it is the best smartphone available on the market today. The display brings amazing vivid colors and never looks washed-out. Many people complain about how it has a PenTile display, but honestly, you really can't tell because of the high resolution and you can only see pixels when you actively look for them. Call quality is pretty average, although when you first buy it the call volume is on max so be careful you don't want to be deafened. Battery life is fantastic, always lasts me through the whole day with pretty heavy usage, and I usually forget to turn my WiFi antenna off. The design of the phone is absolutely unparalleled, it is freakishly thin and is made of an aluminum unibody (no cheap plastic here). I had to nick it one point here only because it is kind of slippery being that thin and honestly, I feel like if I dropped it, it would break into many small pieces. Apps and the such are great, since it's got Android and comes with the Play Store, which is always great. Other media support is good too, but nothing really worth mentioning, pretty much the same as any other phone. One problem with Apps though is all the freaking bloatware that comes loaded on this phone. Seriously, 4 pages are full when you first open the box. 4 pages! But this can be fixed by rooting it and all in all, I anyone who wants a new phone should be perfectly happy with this One.

HTC One S Written Review by...
In the past, HTC has been criticized for releasing too many phones that all seemed to be alike with only minor differences between each one. It seemed like every month there was another "superphone" from the Taiwanese manufacturer. While each phone was a great device in its own way, the market saturation became too much for some consumers and HTC appeared to be focusing on quantity rather than quality. In an effort to appease the people and simplify its line-up, the company recently... more...
