The HTC Tanager comes in many different names—the SPV E100 and the QTEK 7070. But despite these name differences, the device is one and the same; a definition of what a smartphone should truly be. As the second device manufactured by HTC under their Orange SPV smartphone lineage, the Tanager makes up for the features that its predecessor, the HTC Canary or SPV Classic, lacked. Based on the feedback received from users, HTC seemed to have listened and used this as the formula for a successful and perfect device—a true smartphone that helped its users stay connected wherever they are in the world. Equipped with a 2.2-inch screen display, the Tanager is able to stay loyal to the physical attributes of its former model. The difference, however, is on the Tanager’s trans-flective LCD display that produced a clearer and brighter view of different angles. Powered by a 120 MHz single core TI OMAP processor, the Tanager is able to run applications smoothly and quickly. Its internal storage display is 16 MB and still comes with an expandable SD or MMC card slot. Thanks to its 1000 mAh battery, the phone is able to last up to 2.5 hours of talk time and 72 hours of stand-by mode.
