Save yourself alot of trouble and dont buy the LG banter.

Posted on: August 30th, 2010 by Margo No

The good: full keyboard, its durableThe bad: Turns off by itsself, calls people by itsself (not buttdialing. I'll have it on a table and it will suddenly say "calling: home" or whatever."), can't use audios or music as ringtones (you have to buy them) keeps playing ringtone when you get a text, can't record video, slide sticks sometimes, don't recieve all calls, vibrates when I'm not getting a call or text, ringer volume is low, too big, falls out of pocket too much, bad camera, doesn't vibrate very hard, bad battery life.Summary: I bet you read all the cons (if you didnt read them now) These are all the problems I've been having. It basically has a mind of it's own, if you put the pieces together. I give it a 2 or 3 out of ten. 4 at highest. I would not recommend this phone to anyone. If you think "the'yre just small problems. I can deal with them." I had no idea about all the problems. Now that you're informed, go to the phone store and buy anything but this phone.

I hate this phone

Posted on: June 6th, 2010 by Bre R

The good: the keyboard. the batteryThe bad: everything elseSummary: I got this phone a year ago for my birthday. And i was happy with it for like 3 months, but then it started freezing all the time and shutting off on me. If i shut the keyboard too hard it would shut off. I wouldnt recommend this phone to anyone. It might look like a good one, but its horrible and you need alot of patience with it.

My LG Banter

Posted on: March 31st, 2010 by Samuel Wing

The good: Good keyboard, responds fast, backspace like on rumor2, good size screen 2 in.The bad: No brightness change, no email or im slow sending, bad call quality, terrible camera 1.3 mpSummary: The phone in all is pretty nice. It has great texting keys except it has the spacebar in the fourth row. Has number dedicated keypad row. Camera is terrible. Only 1.3 megapixels overall pretty good phone.

LG Banter Sucks

Posted on: February 19th, 2010 by Andrew Loring

The good: None, this phone is terrible. On my second one in 3 monthsThe bad: Poor battery life, poor functionalitySummary: This phone is all around terrible. Goes from full service at the beginning of a call to dropping it mid-call and then back to full service immediately after. I'm on my second one, soon to be third. The first time the battery drained in less than a day. The second phone locks up completely when I try to use the camera. Waiting to see what will be wrong with the next turd-in-a-box they send me.

LG Banter - What a huge improvement!

Posted on: January 2nd, 2010 by Darcy S

The good: Way better than the Rumor (UX260)Alarm ringer feature.USB/headset slots open much easierextra row of keys on Qwerty padchat feature for textingSleeker designExcellent screen for it's small size: wonderful resolution. The bad: If you put texting mode on T9word (predictive text) on the front of the phone, it stays on when you slide it to the Qwerty. I don't see why anyone needs predictive text on the qwerty.Summary: I was very hesitant to get this one since I had so many issues with the Scoop (UX260) but the sales person assured me all the kinks were worked out. She said they actually had a few issues with this model when it first came out so they took if off the market in their stores until it was fixed (for 3 mos) and there have been no more complaints. I think it's a huge improvement from the previous model and so far don't have any regrets. They have improved on all the features I had complaints about with my Scoop and it seems much more user friendly now. I like having 4 rows on the texting keypad too. I haven't had this phone long so I hope it continues to text well after a few months. The sales person said if it messes up I have a one year manufacturers warranty. That means I'll get a replacement of the same model. As I said, overall I'm pretty pleased so far.

lg banter pros and cons

Posted on: December 23rd, 2009 by kyle gille

The good: qwerty keyboardgreat speakersok cameracomes with pac-mansleek designchangeable front and backThe bad: space button too smallno video i would like a better cameradoesn't vibrate hard enoughSummary: over all i love this product because it is very easy to text with the qwerty keyboard and has great speakers if you like music (i do). but if you text with the front of the phone, (and you have big thumbs)when you hit the space bar, your thumb might slip off. For some reason they took away the use of video which i don't understand. but over all i love this phone.

it is a good phone!

Posted on: November 21st, 2009 by Zahria Matlock

The good: it has a qwerty board so it is easy to txt and you can change the face plate.and it has a music player that you can download songs onto and yaThe bad: when you do a text message you have to go to options and go to Abc to type the name in and alot of others phone just have it on there automaticly. when u are txting and when you slide it down hard the phone shuts off automaticly and it makes me mad and thats the worst thing about this phoneSummary: this phone is a good phone. you can type on the qwerty board instead of trying to type on the buttons that have 3 or 4 letters on them. it has a music players so u can listen to music on your phone. it has a lime green and titainum faceplate so you can always have your own style to the phone. i enjoy this phone but i already know i am getting another phone soon. :(

Really good

Posted on: September 14th, 2009 by Jake No

The good: Good design with easy textingThe bad: Voice quality isn't as high as I would like but it's a texting phone anywaysSummary: I've had an LG Banter for a month or so and I havnen't had any problems with it but I'm fairly careful with it and I don't bring it into a humid bathroom or something a retarded teenage girl would do. It's an excellent phone overall.
