worst phone i've ever had.

Posted on: October 2nd, 2010 by Anonymous

The good: the texting features are really nice. The bad: glitches, software problems.Summary: this phone is horrible. i've gone through four and they've all had the same problems. the screen goes white, the time and date on the external screen disappeared, when i open the phone half of the menu screen pops up and the phone freezes, it never registers that i have a memory card in it, and the instant text box always freezes and erases the texts. the EnV touch is an extremely delicate phone and one drop screws everything up. i actually went into verizon with one of my friends to replace it and the lady said that all flip phone have these glitches and minor problems, but if they knew about them why would they sell the phone and not try to fix it. personally, i recommend spending the extra hundred bucks or so for the Droid.

Not a reliable phone.

Posted on: September 22nd, 2010 by Mike Juliano

The good: + Inside QWERTY keyboard makes sending text messages easy.+ Durable. The bad: - Poor battery life.- Terrible touch screen responsiveness, limited function.- Bugs and glitches create a very frustrating experience.- Few features.Summary: When I purchased this phone in September of 2009, I was immensely excited. The phone seemed great, and upgrading from my LG enV2 (returned 3 times), the thought of having even a working phone was a great one. And it's got a touch screen, what's not to love, right?Well, since about a month after purchasing the phone, I've been counting down the days until I can upgrade out of my contract. (Still over 11 months to go.) The phone's just as buggy and problem-ridden as my enV2 was, and has depleted my faith in LG products for the time-being.My primary problem is not with function, but reliability. I never know if my phone is going to be on or not while I'm not using it due to its common tendency to shut itself off (and reset my settings in the process, removing my wallpapers, themes, defaulting my display settings etc.) The inside QWERTY is fantastic. And then there's the touch screen. And if you are a heavy "text-er", I can assure you that you will never text on the touch screen. The screen is too unresponsive and inaccurate to make one want to use it for even the simplest of texts. In fact, using the front screen in general is a painfully frustrating task. For example, trying to use the preloaded calculator results in many tapping errors, which makes you want to use the inside keyboard for calculations, which unfortunately limits your options. Pocket dialing is common practice, as the phone manages to unlock itself FAR too easily. The "Touch" portion of the enV Touch turns out to be its weakest feature, and this is a disappointment for this featurephone. The LG enV Touch is a disappointment for me both as a phone and as a forthcoming sign of the direction the brand is taking. Instead of bridging the gap between dumb and smartphones, the lack of features, glitches, poor battery life (hardly lasts a day with average use), and a horrid touch experience push this phone into the realm of the dumbphone, emphasizing the dumb.

Needs work or a total revamp

Posted on: August 18th, 2010 by Levi Mitchell

The good: Kinda hard to say at the moment. Dont really know if it's the phone or Verizons service. I will say it was a good phone when it workedThe bad: Battery life was speradic. Software problems Summary: Probally the worst phone and biggest waste of my money. I went through 4 replacement phones in less then a yr. Had all sorst of problems original one had a software corruption. Then from there on I'm sure I had the same problems the privious owners had with verizons so called "like new certified" scam. I was finally offerd an erly upgrade and went to a Droid 2. So time will tell if this hole smart phone idea holds water for me. I swear if this Droid gives me the same crap as the LG did I'm going to Wal-Mart and buying a $10.00 trac-phone!

The good: nice design. The bad: where should i begin...Summary: I've had this phone for less than a year and the one i have now is my fifth. the first one i had was good until it stopped charging. completely. i got a couple new chargers until they realized it was the phone. this was after about a month of bad use because of the battery. my second one didnt charge from the very beginning, and my third and fourth randomly died on me and wouldnt turn on ever again. all of these had problems with freezing and restarting and shutting off at random times. the one i have now is moody. it works when it feels like it. the touch screen is horrible and unusable, which is annoying for on-screen dialing such as voicemail. it always shuts off at least once a day, usually a couple times in a row. i.hate.it.

LG enV Touch Review

Posted on: May 27th, 2010 by Muchacha Nicholson

The good: great texting, QWERTY keyboard, virtual keyboard, nice camera, good service, easy to useThe bad: randomly resets all settings, turns off randomly with one touch, touch screen blacks out, freezes during browserSummary: The phone is great for multimedia-loving people, and people who get tired of the same thing after a while. Several different ways to text, which is a plus for those who become bored easily. Fun phone overall; many applications and useful tools. Camera takes awesome pictures and messaging is easy and enjoyable. Making calls is easy. Phone will turn off for no reason and reset all settings. With one touch of a button, the phone will black out. Battery life is decent. Overall it's an okay phone.

The good: touch screen without having to buy internet serviceThe bad: difficult to text on touch screen, the key pad is best for textingSummary: I have had my phone for 3 months and already have had problems. The phone randomly cuts on and off and also when dialing out I cant hear anything on my end. The phone will call out and the other person can hear but on my end there is no sound. How am I suppose to use a phone for 2 years when it is already having problems at 3 months!!!

Verizon Wirelss LG Env Touch is the worst phone I've ever had

Posted on: November 24th, 2009 by Christine Smith

In 2 months, I had 4 phones and 6 so called software updates. The phone constantly shuts down, reboots, etc. I have spent more time at Verizon than I care to say. The last time it was given a software upgrade, they swore it would work, within 1 day the phone was worse than when I took it. I wanted a totally different phone so I just got the Env 3 because they claimed the touch screen was the problem, HOWEVER, within 3 days, same thing, phone shut down during text messaging. I don't know what's going on, but I've had it. I wish they would be honest and tell you if the phone has issues. I don't have time to go to Verizon every other day, this is the worst phone and ridiculous!

OK Phone

Posted on: November 2nd, 2009 by enV Touch Customer

The good: Features, DesignThe bad: Basically everything else listed!!!!!Summary: There are many pros and cons to this product. I'll start with the pros since there are quite a few cons. Great camera and video, flash on both!! I had a Voyager and broke the charger like twice, where I have yet to brake this one. And I love the drawing pad feature and Need for Speed!!!!! Awesome additions!!! Touch screen is pretty easy, messaging is good both ways. Now for the cons. The touch screen smudges and scratches so easy!!! AND if you try to rub off the smudges and finger prints, it only makes it worse. The battery life is terrible!!! And, this phone has the most glitches I've ever seen!!!!!!! I could tell you a million stories!!!!!! Like once, I charged the phone, turned it off and left it alone. End of the day, turned it back on and my wallpapers were gone and it was changed back to it's original theme, Modern Retro, instead of the theme I changed it to myself, Blue Inspiration. And then a few days after that, I was just holding it in my hand, I flipped it open and closed it then flipped open again, then all of a sudden, the screen had yellow and red and green and blues lines on it. I flipped it closed then opened it and it was working perfectly fine again. Also, it constantally just blacks out. And no matter what you do, it will stay blacked out, unless you take out the battery. One day, I took it to the store because of the poor battery life and found that if you want the battery to last a little more than 12 hours, you should use the touchscreen keypad, not the internal qwerty, and set the backlight settings as low as possible. It worked, but why?? What is the point in having an internal qwerty keypad if it is going to ruin the phone?? And the touchscreen is a huggggeeeeee pain, too!!!! I swear, I've called numbers on accidents about 20,000 times since I've gotten the phone!!!!!!! In my pocket, purse, wherever. It never fails!!! The auto lock, dosen't help either!!!!! Well, as you can see, for me, pros, and many cons. Would I recommend it?? No. This ends my review for the LG enV Touch.
