LG G3 A nice phone unless you need to make a call

Posted on: March 1st, 2015 by mielkeal

Between my wife and myself we have been through 3 G3s. All 3 showed the same issues. Dropped phone calls and also complaints of callers on the other end about our voice breaking up, fading in and out, and sounding like we are under water. It doesnt happen during every call, only a few times a week. This is very frustrating as I use my phone for business. I researched the problem on the internet and found it is a recurring issue. It may have something to do with the antenna used in the phone. My wife was able to swap her's out for a different model but I am unfortunately stuck with mine because I am past my trade in period. Verizon has not offered an acceptable resolution other than purchasing a new phone at full retail price or giving me another reconditioned G3 ( slap me again). I can either live with my phone or switch carriers. Its unfortunate as other than the said issue it is a really nice phone.

LG G3 Great unless you use to call.

Posted on: March 1st, 2015 by

I have had this phone for 4 months now as I was eligible for an upgrade with Verizon.I really liked it at first until I realized that I had a problem. People that I talk to complain about my voice fading in and out or sounding like I am under water. It doesn't happen on every call but at least a couple of times per week. This is very frustrating as I use my phone for business.I have gotten a replacement phone and have the same issue. My wife upgraded to the same phone and sure enough had the same problem. She was fortunately within her trade in period and swapped it for a droid maxx.No more issues for her but I am stuck with mine as Verizon is refusing to let me swap mine to a different phone ,including used phones. It seems like there may be a problem with the antenna in the phone. My options now are to live with it or switch to t mobile that offers to pay my early termination fees. I even tried talking to LG but they offered no recourse. It is disappointing as I really like everything else about this phone. If you get one make a ton of calls within the first 2 weeks to determine if you have an issue with yours so you can switch it.

Phone operation and features really great...PROBLEM I HAVE HAD 2 OF THESE PHONES AND THE CASE HAS CRACKED AT THE MICROPHONE PORT AND TH IR SENSOR. HAVING TROUBLE GETTING LG OR T-MOBILE REPLACING PHONE WITH A DEFECTIVE CASE. Internet complaints show many people having the same cracking problem!

Returned it.

Posted on: November 23rd, 2014 by Faragon

I could not live with the muted colors of screen, rendering graphics that have the bleached look. The speaker phone, with the volume up and in a case, feeds back into the speaker and renders the phone useless as a hands free device. The last straw was that, while in a locked screen it asked me to type "Life is good", the phone was not playing nice with my Swiftkey and would not allow me to unlock the device. This is how it was when I returned the device (within a week) and there wasn't much the tech could say. I need a phone, not a brick. The LG software is beautiful and responsive. I was sad to see the three gigs of ram and 32 internal go, but I had to return it. Ended up with a ho hum Samsung S5.

Best phone I've ever used.

Posted on: November 18th, 2014 by Damion Wilson

The only fault I have experienced is that the display doesn't get very bright (beaten by my old Nexus S 4G). The image quality, though, is unparalleled. The phone aspects works excellent, the battery life is awesome (over 6 hours of screen on time, usually). The phone is so beautiful, I can't convince myself to cover it with a case half the time.
