LG Lotus-NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!

Posted on: December 16th, 2009 by Alana Unknown

The good: Size,colors,stylish,mp3 playerThe bad: can only bluetooth contacts or ALL files, phone randomly reboots or shuts down, freezes upSummary: I would NOT suggest this phone to anyone. If you research the LG Lotus you will come to find multiple complaints shared among Lotus owners. Many have had their Lotus replaced 3-4 times & still have the same results. The phone will randomly reboot itself or sometimes completely shut off without turning back on. When ringtones are downloaded, they are automatically stored in a folder & CANNOT be bluetoothed. The video quality is not that great ESPECIALLY when played in full screen. There are a NUMEROUS amount of issues with the LG Lotus. PLEASE, I DO NOT advise anyone to purchase this phone unless it is absolutely your LAST resort. I am forced to keep this phone ONLY because of my plan contract. Please research this phone and everything noted will be backed up 100%.

This phone is probably the best phone you will ever use in your life. It has the nice QWERTY keyboard and the 2.0 megaapixel camera. The internet so far is so awesome you will just die for it!!! The messaging is the best use for the phone. Anyway.....

The good: Big screen from sprint, Great design ( the square boggles peoples mind ), the speakers are load, threaded messages are great! All of the bluetooth capabilities are amazing, and the camera is very goodThe bad: small outer screen, the outer screen is bad in direct sunlightSummary: I love this phone, in my mind it is the best non-smart phone sprint had for under 100 bucks! The phone is easy to use, the keyboard is great. The camera has great quality and it has ok video quality.

Great for non-corporate stuff

Posted on: November 24th, 2008 by Al Spohn

The good: Clamshell/QWERTY combinationSizeUseabilityThe bad: No MS Exchange ActiveSyncNo VPN capability (evidently)Summary: For me the QWERTY/Clamshell combination is a life-saver. I have no interest in carrying around a shoebox on my belt or in my pocket for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, for me to function in my IT/Infrastructure support role, I need a phone than can SSH into unix systems and talk to an Exchange server/VPN into my company network. In the absence of these tools, all I can do is lament how wonderful life would be if the physical uniqueness of this phone could be leveraged for something more substantial than cronic messagingaholics.

The color is great, the keyboard is easy to use, the feaures are great!! I recommend this phone to anyone that is a big texter. Fantastic phone!!!

The good: -One Click is very easy to use and very helpful ( I personally like having weather and horoscope bubbles from my home icon)-Great camera quality-Style/design is new and refreshing which is great for sprint customers whose main choices were standard flip phones and smartphones.-Tv/radio applications run well (as well as a phone should anyway)-youtube application is also a nice featureThe bad: -It might just be because since I got it (10/26) I've been barely able to put it down, but the battery is a little lacking. Again it might just be because I'm constantly using it.Summary: All In all I would highly recommend this to any avid texter who wants more than what the Rumor offers, unless you're more into the slider design, then go with the Rant. As far as I know it has pretty much all the same features. I love my lotus!

Cool Phone

Posted on: October 27th, 2008 by Lizzy O

The good: Great speaker, tv, navigation, holds texts as conversations-easy to go back and re-read, great cameraThe bad: Almost to many bells and whistles if your coming in from a much older phone, not very easy to change from ringer to vibrate if you need to silence your phone. Battery doesnt seem to last as long as it shouldSummary: Great little phone, everyone loves it who sees it. keyboard easy to use. If you want basics with ring tones etc. this may be too detailed but no major disappointments.
