"A nexus twin... kinda"
I was on the fence between this phone and the Nexus but eventually choose the Optimus G for a few reasons. The first being it has double the memory at 32 gigs. Moreover, LTE is ... well, addicting. Once you experience the speed, it's hard to downgrade. And LG's skin is light enough to get a good google experience while adding some neat features, Q slide being my favorite. I can't say enough about this phone, it's just a great piece of technology. It's fast, really fast. It does everything you throw at it with ease and finess. That being said, I do wish the battery would last a little longer. Call quality was good but not great, same with the camera. It does get a bit warm after continued use as well and the Optimus G doesn't ship with JB. Hopefully that will be remedied soon!
