The LG Scoop Wasn't Worth My Money!

Posted on: April 9th, 2009 by Khristyan Fischer

The good: It slides open. The bad: The place where you plug in the charger is terrible. It gets ruined fast no matter how gentle you are with it. I have gone through 3 LG Scoops now all because it wouldn't charge any more. My qwerty board is difficult to use and if you don't text slow enough it will freeze up and skip letters. I get told all the time it's hard to hear me when i talk on my cell phone (i know this is not because of reception). The internet is slow. The pictures look terrible. The inbox gets full too fast. Summary: I Can not stand this phone. It's very frustrating and disappointing. I most likely wont be trying another LG any time soon. I DO NOT reccomend this phone.

Garbage

The good: Easy texting capabilityThe bad: Powercycles all the time, can't assign ringtones that are bluetoothedSummary: This phone has got to be one of the worst I've ever had. I'm ready to go back to the bag phone. I am on my 5th as of now. Only one was my fault, but every one that I have had has had the same problem, powercycyling and shutting off for no reason. I just recieved my "new" one last night and it's already done it once this morning. Second LG phone I've had that has been nothing but trouble.

LG Scoop

The good: keyboardThe bad: computer won't recognize this device to load mp3'sSummary: This phone is a POS! I had my first one for a week when it rebooted on its own and never worked after that. Got the second one and tried to connect it to my computer using USB cable. I was able to get a handful of songs loaded, then it became unrecognizable all of a sudden. I have not been able to connect to my computer since. I hate this phone. I regret having purchased it.

The good: Easy to txt and simple layoutThe bad: Can't use transferred bluetooth files as ringtones. The screen went to crap on mine twice and my sisters three times......I wouldn't recommend it for reliability.Summary: I wouldn't recommend this phone because of the technical issues with the screen. If LG could fix that then it would be a good phone. But as of now i wouldn't get again.

The good: Attractive, good quality sound and pictures, easy texting, easy to use in generalThe bad: Cannot assign ringtones to individual callers! screen froze a few times, but luckily the warranty replaced it. The good: Excellent messaging qualities, convenient size, easy to use, screen size is great. The bad: Difficulties with transferring mp3's to ringtonesSummary: I love this phone! its very easy to use and i love the messaging features. its also very stylish and trendy. the picture quality could be a little better but its not bad. the only problem i have had with the phone is that i am not able to transfer my mp3s and set them as ringtones, but overall, this is a very worthy product.

The good: Layout is so easy, texting is so easy, phone is compact and attractive, ringtones are loud and clear, wallpapers are clear and crisp, speakerphone is loud, camera has many fun frames and effects, price is affordable, accepts internet, email, etc... The bad: Camera images are not as sharp as the higher pixelated phones, and ocassionally (not always) when accessing celltop the phone will shut off and back on.Summary: Great phone with lots of fun features for a reasonable price.
