Decent Phone

Posted on: January 11th, 2010 by Matthew Gendusa

The good: Versatile, SimpleThe bad: Clunky TouchscreenSummary: I think that the Versa is a decent phone. It is my 3rd phone, and first that isn't a Nextel, so I was pleasantly surprised. I switched to Verizon right when this phone came out, and on my Nextel phone I still wasn't even able to text. So when I got the phone it was a nice surprise. At first. It has many features that are good and I love them, but some things about the Versa annoy me. I find that without the case attached, the phone is too vulnerable in the pocket. It frequently unlocks and powers down on its own. I do not have a screen protector, and my screen is somewhat scratched up for something that just sits in my pocket. Also, after about 3 months after every text, sent or received, my phone would power down. This proved to be very bothersome for the phone was billed to me as superior to other texting phones, which brings me to my next point. The phone was presented to me as a rival to smartphones, basically a step down. This is not the case at all. While it is a step up from phones like the Alias and EnV, it is nowhere close to a stepdown from a smartphone. My last issue is that at times, the screen can be unresponsive, laggy, and very inaccurate. It is very difficult to navigate webpages with your fingers on this phone. But besides all this, the Versa is an adequate phone for someone looking for something different.

Versa

Posted on: March 27th, 2009 by Nathan Kenney

The good: Fast response nice qwerty keyboardThe bad: Short battery life Summary: The LG Versa VX9600 is overall a very neat phone. It is pretty much like a Voyager but somewhat different in different ways, shapes, and forms. This phone i tried out at Verizon and have liked it. I think it is a good product. Let's hope you feel the same way.
