Don't like it

Posted on: July 27th, 2009 by Dee Blob

The good: ...I think it's pretty durable?camera is pretty good, comes with flash. The bad: Bad reception, buttons are way too sensitive. Texting is a chore on it. The clear and speakerphone buttons are way too close, and it's almost impossible to press the clear button without accidentally hitting the speakerphone button every other time. It randomly freezes every so often, where none of the buttons respond, and when it does unfreeze it'll usually turn off.Not very customizableSpeakerphone is quiet and can't be used with the phone closedunorganized menusSummary: I had to switch phones because I was switching services to Verizon. (Terrible TERRIBLE idea, by the way) and I got this phone. What a bad decision that was. Life has Not been good, after getting this LG. If you hate texting, and only want a phone to use as a phone, I still wouldn't be able to recommend it, as it's speakerphone is terrible. It really doesn't do any one thing well. The camera is good, but why get a phone whose only good feature is a camera? Why not just buy a camera instead?

It was good

Posted on: June 5th, 2009 by Kyle Westfall

The good: Durable (i dropped it alot) easy to text with (while driving i might add) easy set up and u can change how to set up the menu via display themes, and good cameraThe bad: bad bluetooth, battery life was not the best (charged it every three days)Summary: I loved this phone and when i had to upgrade, i didnt want to but it had a good camera, and u can put a memory card in it for more music or more pics. was a good texting phone, and i've had this phone for a little over 18 months and i only had one in that time frame. it also fit in my steering wheel so i could use speaker phone and not get pulled over for using my phone

It's okay, but not that great.

Posted on: June 26th, 2007 by Penny Annie

The good: speakerphone, nice camera. The bad: Can't record own ringtones, bad battery life, gets hot. Summary: I have to say, I liked my VX7000 better than this phone - it had more features, and was about the same size. I feel like this phone is loaded up with features that aren't so great and to make room for them they dropped some of the good features. Also, the menu system is awkward and hard to navigate now.

THE BAD TURNS TO WORSE

Posted on: June 24th, 2007 by B T

The good: Good question.... let me think... NONE!The bad: Reception, too thick, camera lacks flash, standard ringtones, no illumination whatsoever Summary: This phone is a total dud. In 5 months, I have had eighteen of these, thirteen software resets, and seven of the eighteen break. The styling is the only good thing, but with basic service, the speakers (the cause of the thickness)are USELESS. I only keep using this phone because this is the only phone I can get for free with my plan. Two more tries, then I would have had 20 of these, then, I'm switching to a Nokia.

Pretty descent phone

Posted on: May 21st, 2007 by jeffrey spangler

The good: lots of features, mp3 with external controls, camera WITH FLASH, vcast, mobile net, video, voice dialing, micro sd memory card, and very sturdyThe bad: so so reception, not much built in memory, terrible speaker phone, battery life patheticSummary: All and all this is a pretty good phone. i really like all the features it has. the most important stuff like reception and battery life are the weakest points of this thing. and dont even bother trying to use the speakerphone. I've got butter fingers and have dropped this thing numerous times but besides cosmetic blemishes this thing keeps on tickin. however im big on features so that alone makes me feel this phone is a good purchase.

Frustration

Posted on: May 21st, 2007 by Chris Terrell

The good: long battery life. The bad: shuts off when set down, or for no reason.Summary: Phone would just shut off, then within 6 months the whole thing fried itself, replaced under warranty then the new one didn't work at all, replaced again same day, that one had faulty camera, and ringer. replaced same day with a Chocolate. Love that one.

LG VX 3800

Posted on: April 9th, 2007 by David Hanzes

The good: Very easy to use and durable. Antenna works well and I seem to get service where other verizon users don't.The bad: Battery life is shorter than the other LG phones I have had in the past.Summary: This is a over all a very good phone. It does a good job of making and receiving calls and I have dropped it many many times w/o problems. Much improved over the VX 8100.
