Motorola A630 Review

Posted on: October 21st, 2006 by Fred Chow

The good: fancy, qwerty keyboard, motorola menusThe bad: low memory(non-upgradable), easy to breakSummary: I have had this phone for a quite number of years now. It used to be a flagship phone of $300 with a 1 year activation plan, but I got this in a Chinatown. When I got this circa 2004, this phone was at the top of the food chain compared to all the RAZRs and Chocolates we see today. During the end of the first year plan, the phone's microphone died on me, so I had to get it replaced. In a couple of months later, the battery did not charge. So I must say the durability sucks. I am using my 3rd Motorola A630 right now. It's still stylish but it's features are low compared to today's standards. It can handle bluetooth and mp3's but only to a limited MB capacity of 2 i believe.

Great Phone!

Posted on: September 13th, 2006 by Alexa Nimmons

The good: Very small(so it can be hidden and used at work), nice keyboard(Ease of use at work):),inet comes up pretty quickly, screen is a good size for the size of the phone,It takes pics,BLUETOOTH!!!!!!!Awesome:):):):)The bad: The pic quality is only really good when you have it on the right setting (but dont you usually have to have things on the correct settings for them to work????)Summary: Well, I like that the pages come up quickly on the inet. The qwerty keyboard is awesome! Also, the size of the phone is great. Its really small to have all of those features. I mostly use the phone for inet and txting, but the call quality seems to be great as well. You're able to hear well and the ppl on the other line are able to hear you well also. I love the JAVA games...great graphics. I think that its a great phone for the price, and as far as memory, I mean, you really cant expect it to have as much as, say, a laptop. It has great memory for the size and type of phone that it is. I upgraded to this phone (and I do emphasize UPGRADED) from an LG (F9100)... Yah, it may not be a sidekick, but the sidekick is big and bulky (and seems to break a lot, from what I hear). Not to mention if you purchase a sidekick, you pay SO much more than what you would pay for this phone. Did you know that instead of buying a Sidekick you could get a decent laptop?? Not as convienient, but more worth the price. Oh, and if you wanted a bigger screen, get a bigger phone. The phone is small, so you cant expect the screen to be overly large...Anyway, I really do like this phone a lot. AND I think that its awesome:)
