Summary: I have a Motorola Milestone, which is the same as the Droid, but has a few more features. Not a lot of difference since my friend has a Droid.

Having had an iPhone 3GS, this phone is a phone with no compromise. The screen resolution is great and it looks brilliant when viewing photos and videos. The speaker is very loud, useful for entertainment in small parties. The camera takes very good photo's and the video quality is excellent, although sometimes in the dark, the quality drops a bit. The keyboard took me a few days to get used to, but after i did, I found myself using it more than the onscreen keeyboard. The quality of built is pretty amazing, having dropped it 2 times on concrete, it was amazing to see the there were no scratches or damage to my phone. The screen is pretty awesome, having tried to sratch it with sharp knifes and screwdrivers, amazed to see no damage, so you don't really need a screen protector. Call quality is also pretty good, usefull when you are talking to frnds a lot.

I have seen some people complain about the weight of the phone as it is heavier than the iphone. Since I prefer heavy phones, it wasn't a downside for me. The size of the phone is the same as the iPhone. The slider is very robust, everytime I slide it, it feels really good.

The capacitive buttoms are a problem sometimes as they get pressed accidently. So when you are doing something, getting the button pressed gets annoying, although if you are careful, it won't happen. Battery life is decent for a phone which does multitasking a lot. On hard usage, I can still easily get through the day, although it requires me to keep closing down uneccesary applications.

Some people are going to have problems switching over to this phone, because its a big change form iTunes to the motorola software. Although the phone's quality easily pays that off.If you are looking for a great Android device, this is a prefect phone for you. Its smooth, very user friendly, looks great, feels great. All in all, a good phone to buy.
