"all I wanted for xmas is a one-handed phone."

This phone shed a lot of unnecessary options, and picked up active notifications, a feature that has ruined me for any other phone lacking this.

"Great phone! love stock android and it's such a good little device"

I switched from iphone to the moto x and I'm loving it, It's screen isn't as big as its other android competitors but it feels fantastic in the hand and with the screen stretching across just about all the phone it felt very big for the size of which it is. AMOLED... I'm now spoiled by it, the true blacks and the color is so good I dislike how LCD screens look now. One thing that doesn't seem like much is the dimple on the back, it feels great. The ergonomics of this phone is amazing, I can... more...

"A vastly better phone than specs may suggest"

Simply a great phone with snappy and fluid real world performance, good battery life, and actual useful features that improve the experience as opposed to features that impress friends but offer no real useable advantages. For example, I don't want a phone without active notifications from here on out.

"Great Phone"

I'm 14 and I switched from iOS recently. I think this is the perfect phone for the average person because not only is it smooth like iOS but it is the firs phone (besides Nexus's) that offers a GREAT user experience as well!

"Most Useful Phone!"

This phone has amazingly useful features that no other phone offers. Active Display and Touchless Controls are the real reasons to own this phone.

"Great... Please read review"

Mot X display is truly great. Its call quality is seamless. Just google play needs to develop a little bit. Great for first smartphoners!

"Most perfect handset ever!"

Probably the best android handset available when it comes to battery life and quality of the screen. This phone is better than what the specs show on paper.

"The Moto X is a device designed for the average consumer, and that's a great thing."

October 31st, at exactly 2:07pm EST, I placed my order for a brand spanking new Nexus 5. Less than a week later it was in my hands, it's all its Nexusy glory. A few days later though, I faced a small dilemma. This wasn't the device for me. Oh sure, it was a great device, with unbeatable value, and there wasn't any one thing terribly wrong with it. That being said, there were a bunch of little things that bugged me. So, I made up my mind and decided to swap my shiny new Nexus 5 for a different... more...

"Almost perfect"

In the last few years many devices passed in my hands. The Nokia n95 was my first taste of a smartphone, then I had Motorola milestone, Motorola defy, samsung Omnia W, galaxy s3 and finally! the moto x. I just loved this gadget. Design, hand fell, overall quality...everything is just awesome. The exclusive functions shines. Google now always on, the shake movements to turn on the camera (that's my favorite by the way) and the ridiculously useful smart notifications. But the moto x is not... more...

"Smooth, exceptional, and ready"

The Moto X laughs at the fact that other products house pc specifications and still can't out perform it. Less is clearly more.

"if you want a phone like no other, that offers touchless control, then look no further"

This is truly an underrated device. When this phone is set up with Motorola skip and a few NFC tags. Then this feature is more useful then a iPhone 5S with the finger print reader. I have an NFC tag in my wallet, office, car, and bedroom. Because you can also associate more information and features to change your phone settings or profile when tapped to a tag. For instance with the bedroom tag I have silent mode. For the office tag volume is halfway and messages are forward to another... more...

"Specs aren't everything apparently!"

The Moto X has been a fantastic device in my use over the last few weeks or so. Specs aren't everything apparently, and this is showcased especially with the Moto X, as it's easily the fastest and smoothest Android experience I've had to date. It's also a feature-packed device that includes things like Motorola Assist, Touchless Control, and a recently improved camera experience. This is about as close to a Nexus phone that you're going to get on a carrier as of right now, as Google owns... more...

Moto X with Republic Wireless (Hands-On)

Moto X with Republic Wireless...
At first glance, the phone looks like the Moto X that Aaron reviewed a few months back.  But under the hood, this Moto X could save you some serious money.  Coming in at $299 without a contract, Republic's Moto X packs the same internals: a 1.7 GHz dual-core CPU with Motorola's X8 architecture, 4.7-inch 720p HD display, 10-megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.  The big difference is in monthly price... more...
