Nice but . . .

Posted on: June 14th, 2010 by Marc Marc

The good: Lite weight and good battery life. Blue tooth works great in car with dealer hands free device. The bad: Back cover slips off very easy causing the battery to fall out. Good volume but unless you hold it just right, you won't hear anything.Summary: T-Mobile worked flawlessly getting me the phone and helping me set it up. Overall this is not a bad phone, but in the future I will go into a store rather than purchase over the Internet so I can make live comparisons. My only real dissapointment is the design of the ear piece. Unless you hold the phone at a certain angle you won't hear the caller.

The good: good service, nice looking, radioThe bad: buttons hard to operate, have to hold phone just right to hear.Summary: It's a nice looking phone, feels very light. I wish there would have been a little more thought in the design...You really want to like the phone just to many things wrong. Seems to have adequate signal and sound on the other end. Oh and the FM radio sounds great, and the camera is good. I got this on Black Friday so it was very inexpensive I wouldn't pay the normal price. I decided to keep it though.

The good: noneThe bad: mini display is useless - too dark to read, no volume control whilst making a callSummary: mini display is useless - too dark to read, no volume control whilst making a call - bought it cheaply sim free - will dump it and try another brand this time - my last Nokia

Front "mini display" practically useless, volume control practically useless

Posted on: May 9th, 2009 by B Morris

The good: Nice and small.Menus are fairly easy to use.Very good battery life.No buttons on the outside, so no possibility of accidentally pressing one. The bad: 1) It's difficult or impossible to see the time on the front of the phone, especially in the dark.2) The volume control is a soft key that brings up a dialog, so it's impossible to adjust the volume while actually talking on the phone. Oh, maybe I can memorize how to press the buttons without looking.3)There's no volume control for the incoming text message alarm.Summary: The phone works fine and has an excellent battery life. The "cons" I listed seem a bit trivial, but I find them more and more bothersome the longer I have the phone. I wish I had realized this during the buyer remorse period.

Lots of drawbacks

Posted on: March 8th, 2009 by Leah Rose

The good: Sound quality is okayThe bad: No control buttons on the outside of phoneFront display does not stay litNo redialVery short battery lifeCannot adjust volume without removing phone from earSummary: I originally was a Suncom user with a Sony Ericcson flip phone. When that died I replaced with this Nokia. Needless to say I'm very disappointed. The cons I mentioned make this phone a pain in the derriere. Because there are no outside buttons, you have to open the phone to see any messages or light up the display to see the time. There is an automatic redial feature, but no single funtion redial. To adjust the volume you must hit the left/right main navigation button, which is very awkward during a conversation. I'm not a heavy phone user, do some moderate texting, and I have to recharge everyday. All in all this phone is only good if you only want it for emergencies. I'm still within my 14 day trial period and plan on returning it for something else.

The good: Easy to useThe bad: Hard to see in sunliteSummary: This model is a very good choice to get as a basic cellphone. Has all the main features needed to call and text message. The size is not too small for those with large hands. I would highly recomend this phone!
