Noah's Samsung Captivate review (AT&T)
Overview What's Good: Big, beautiful display; Light, pocketable form factor; Fast, smooth performance; Good camera; Good social networking integration. What's Bad: Samsung's custom skin doesn't add much to Android and can't be disabled; Questionable styling; Somewhat cheap, plasticky feel; No flash on camera; App sideloading blocked by AT&T. The Verdict: Captivate is the best non-iPhone in AT&T's lineup. Android purists may scoff at Samsung's TouchWiz user interface, but... more...

"Best phone ever"
The good: Awesome memory, sweet HD camera, VERY peppy, beautiful screenThe bad: See Summary. ThanksSummary: This is by far the best phone I have ever used. I'm coming from a G1 and I know it's an upgrade, but I've had many smartphones and this is the best. The memory is awesome..You get 16 gigs and a dedicated 2 gigs just for apps..Rocking..lol You also have an SD slot, supports SDHC cards with sizes up to 32 gigs. Thats a total of 48 gigs and after formatting, your looking at a solid 46-47 gigs.
The camera is glorious but when it's windy, you can tell in the final product. It shoots at 1280 X 720 and they look amazing.
Wifi is very quick on this with the wireless N.
There are some issues that a buyer must be aware about.
1)GPS is working but only sorta. You have to use the option to 'use wireless networks' in the Location and security tab of the settings menu.
2)Some users experience lag. SOME users..I only have only experienced lag when it's charging, and thats while typing.
3)Some people have experienced random shut downs. It occurs when the battery is fully charged. It will do a random shutdown and you want know it. I let mine charge all night and when I get up, I play music and it drains the battery some. That way it dosent turn off.
All issues are supposed to be fixed when the 2.2 Froyo update comes out sometime in September.
Overall it's a very nice phone. I have had 2 co-workers and my g/f change from iPhones to a Captivate..lol
