Samsung Galaxy Nexus Written Review by Taylor
Through all of the hundreds of Android phones that have released in the past year, the Galaxy Nexus is easily one of the most highly anticipated and notable that we at PhoneDog have had a chance to review. Display:Brilliant AMOLED Display, even with Pentile Layout, minus 1 point for the grainy screen (known issue with AMOLED's) with low brightness settings.
Reception & Call Quality:
This is the area where I think the Nexus suffers the most.
It seems the antenna struggles to have five bars reception even in general areas, and usually dips to one or two bars in buildings.
Wi-Fi too, suffers the same problem.
Battery Life:
So-so, not jaw-dropping, but not that bad either.
One advantage of the Nexus is that the battery is user-swappable, enabling you to buy one or more extra batteries.
Also, there is the thicker 2100mAh battery you can buy
Design & Form Factor:
One word, Beautiful.
The gap between the screen and body is minimal, not allowing dust to collect, solid construction, thin profile, curved screen.
Many says that the plastic makes it feel cheap, I disagree.
Even if it is plastic, the quality is just different from the Galaxy Note or the S3, it just feels more solid in my hand.
Apps & Media Support:
This is unquestionably the best of all Android device, being a Nexus.
Fastest updates and great support from developers and big modding community
