"Some great software from Google has breathed new life into older, yet still compelling hardware"
The Galaxy Nexus is everything Android should be. With Jellybean (4.1 developer build), the phone is incredibly responsive, fluid, and FUN to use. Additionally the GSM Galaxy Nexus gets its updates straight from Google- no more interference from carriers or other manufacturers. Additionally, for only $350 unlocked from the Google Play Store, the Galaxy Nexus has to be the best value going today- a brand new, carrier unlocked, pentaband top of the line smartphone with the latest and greatest... more...

"Android updates are a must"
I had the galaxy s2 on tmobile, sold it, and bought a galaxy nexus from the google play store. I love getting bug fixes from google and I'm looking forward to having android jelly bean first. I'm a extremely heavy user and I still get 18hrs of battery life, compared to 7 on the gs2 I really love not have a custom UI slowing down my phone. With the galaxy s2 i felt like there were too many redundant applications I couldn't remove. There are only two smart phones to consider, the nexus... more...

"Awesome software, mediocre battery life"
The display could've been better. Weird artifacts appear if the background is white, but is less noticeable when there're more details on the screen like when watching a video. Reception has been spotty. Battery life is atrocious. Form factor is sexy. Slenderness makes the large screen feel smaller than it is. Vanilla ICS is amazing.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus Written Review by Taylor
Through all of the hundreds of Android phones that have released in the past year, the Galaxy Nexus is easily one of the most highly anticipated and notable that we at PhoneDog have had a chance to review. It's big, slim and stylish, and it comes packed with some of the best specifications we've seen in a handset to date. Officially, you can only purchase it through Verizon in the United States, but through other resellers, you can purchase an unsubsidized, unlocked GSM version that... more...

"Possibly the best phone right now"
Display: The display is extreemly beautiful, blacks are really black! 720p on a 4.65 inch screen is amazing! warning: after using this device, all other screens will look terrible :) Reception & Call Quality: Reception could have been better, not too bad though. Call quality is pretty good even coming from a blackberry user. Battery Life: Battery Life isn't to write home about. Passable The phone usually lasts me about 1.5 days on a single charge, which isnt a problem seeing that I usually... more...
